Country of Origin: Japan Size M / L Approximately 1kg (roughly 8 - 15 pieces per packet, but do note number of pieces may vary from the range stated as the size of oysters will be dependant on the harvest/catch to make up 1kg per packet. Please only purchase if comfortable.) The sizing will vary slightly depending on harvest and season. Sashimi-grade Also known as "milk of the sea" - once you've tried it, you'll know why it got this name! These plump and creamy oysters are flash frozen imported from Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, to maintain the freshness of the oyster for raw consumption. These oysters have been flash frozen while alive to maintain their freshness, and taste as good as (and even better than some) live ones! Apart from being eaten raw, they can also be grilled, baked or fried! Serving instructions: - Rinse & thaw the oysters under running water for approximately 5 - 8 mins to remove any remaining particles and debris from the external shells. - Submerge the oysters in ice water for approximately 5 minutes to enhance the texture and flavour. Do note that this step is done when the oysters are NOT shucked. - Drain the water away and use any regular knife (no special oyster knives needed!) to gentle shuck open the oysters. - Serve and enjoy! If kept frozen, they can be stored for up to 2 - 3 months. Once thawed, to be consumed immediately within the same day.
