The fish oil freezer test is a simple way to evaluate the quality of fish oil. Simply leave the fish oil in the freezer overnight. If the softgel turns opaque, it suggests that there is higher saturated fat content and very little omega-3. This is because the saturated fat will solidify thereby turning opaque. On the other hand, high omega-3 fish oils such as OmaxPure omega- 3 fish oil would remain see-through even when it is frozen.
