FAQ

HOW DOES NTN LIQUID ANT KILLER WORK?

Worker ants feed one another by regurgitation. After consuming this liquid ant bait, the worker ant will return to the nest to share it with each other via regurgitation. This ant poison works slowly to allow time for worker ants to bring the poison back to the nest. Noticeable effects in 2-3 days.

WHAT IS BORAX?

Borax is a naturally occurring substance found in food additives and cosmetics. It is also used in laundry detergents and as a flux in metal fabrication.

HOW SAFE IS BORAX?

It is safe for humans but poisonous for small insects like ants. However, if you have pets, do apply this liquid bait in hard-to-reach areas to avoid accidental ingestion.

HOW DOES BORAX KILL ANTS?

Borax interferes with the chemical process of how ants convert food into energy. This causes chemical reactions in the cells to stop, which means that no energy is produced in the cell. The cells then fundamentally starve to death and die.

LIQUID VS GEL ANT BAIT

ANS: Liquid ant bait makes it much easier for ants to drink it up and bring it back to the colony. This advantage makes it work quicker and more effectively against gel baits.

HOW LONG WOULD IT TAKE FOR THE ANTS TO DIE?

ANS: You should notice their numbers dwindling by day 2 to 3 after application of the liquid ant bait, but in our experience, it can even be as quick as 1 day!

IS THIS PRODUCT TOXIC FOR PETS?

ANS: The dose makes the poison. Borax is a relatively safe substance, but we do not recommend it being used around areas accessible by pets.

THE ANTS ARE NOT EATING THE LIQUID ANT BAIT!

ANS: Do place the ant bait along the trail close to their path. Also, the ants must be in the mood to forage for food and not panicking from vibrations/ shadows that might have been accidentally caused by you. Sometimes, they might have other priorities like moving their nest from one location to another, and the importance of food is secondary to them.

HOW DO I CLEAN NTN LIQUID ANT KILLER AFTER THE ANTS ARE GONE?

ANS: Use a dry tissue to get rid of the bulk of the sticky liquid, then a wet tissue to get rid of the remaining residue.

HOW MANY BOTTLES OF NTN LIQUID ANT KILLER DO I NEED FOR AN ANT INFESTATION?

ANS: A bottle of it is plenty! You can use a bottle for multiple ant infestations, but it all depends on the scale of the infestation since you'll naturally use more for a larger infestation.
