Product: Vinho Verde | White Wine | (DOC) Grape Variety: 60% Avesso, 40% Alvarinho Vintage: 2019 Sub-region: Basto Alcohol: 13.5% Vol. Total Acidity: 7.00 g(tartaric acid)/l Residual Sugar: 3.20 g/l pH: 3.24 Winemaking process This wine results from a rigorous selection of our best Avesso and Alvarinho grapes and the perfect communion between technique and tradition. The grape crop is picked manually into small boxes. The grapes are destemmed and then pressed at low pressure. Fermentation takes place in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. Following this process, 10% of the previous vintage, which has matured in oak for one year, is added to the wine. Then the wine is rested in stainless steel tanks for 4 months on the fine lees. Before bottling, the wine is filtered and cold stabilized. Tasting notes Quinta da Raza Avesso / Alvarinho is a high quality wine, intense and fresh, with a fruity and floral aroma and with great complexity in the mouth and a persistent aftertaste. It is made from a blend of two high quality grapes, resulting in a powerful wine with good aging potential. Food pairings This wine is ideal with shellfish, fish, pastas, light meals and light meat dishes. As it ages, cheese will be a pleasant pairing.
