It’s time for you and your friends to jostle with the crowds again to find the perfect street food – reasonably priced (for what you get), tasty and… yes, Instagrammable. Rising rent have caused prices to increase with more novelty foods for sale in recent years. This has led to complaints that the bazaar has lost its original purpose. While it’s true prices can be steep at times, we found many stall owners still innovating to create unique and affordable dishes for you.

If you’re wondering what to eat at the Geylang Serai bazaar, here are some recommendations worth braving the crowds for. After all, you deserve better for enduring the heat and elbowing your way through the crowd.

We’ve also tried our best to provide you information on the halal status of the stall. Still, it’s best to exercise discretion and check with the stall owners themselves if you’re not sure.

1.
