I caught <\/span>WICKED<\/span><\/i><\/a> the last time it was here. I wasn\u2019t into the whole <\/span>Wizard of Oz<\/span><\/i><\/a> thing but my friend convinced me that it was a must-watch. Granted, admission was free for me too (hehe). But I was really enchanted by the musical \u2013 the songs and lyrics, costumes, dances and everything was simply magical.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s no wonder the musical has won over 100 major awards, and that includes three Tony awards and a Grammy! Let\u2019s not forget that there\u2019s also been a tear-jerking movie with a part two on the way! But I say hearing the cast sing the songs live in a theatre is something so unique; you can\u2019t substitute it for anything else.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You can\u2019t not know about <\/span>Phantom Of The Opera<\/span><\/i>. It\u2019s too much of a classic \u2013 not knowing it is akin to being unaware of your national anthem. I was first exposed to the musical thanks to my mum\u2019s love for it. But being in the school choir also meant that I was going to be singing some of the songs. So when I found out about the special airing of the 25th anniversary recording during the coronavirus outbreak in 2020, I made sure I set all the reminders and alarms for it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I was in awe, astounded by Sierra Boggess and Ramin Karimloo. And I knew that one day, if or when the musical comes by, I was going for it regardless of ticket prices. The day came, and my tickets have been secured. It may be my second musical of 2025, but you can\u2019t excuse yourself when it\u2019s a Broadway legend \u2013 the longest-running show in Broadway history! They were last here in 2013 and 2019, seemingly a six-year gap in terms of frequency. But let\u2019s not bet on it, why not just go this year and go again six years later? You won\u2019t regret it!<\/span><\/p>\n
