A slushy (also spelt as slushie) is a beverage made of flavoured ice crystals and a drink consisting of reconstituted 100% fruit juice that is frozen to the desired consistency. They can be either carbonated or noncarbonated depending on what is included in the drink. Most are made of fruits like watermelons and strawberries, but there are variations such as coke and coffee too.

Note: It is important not to confuse a slushy with a smoothie. While slushies are iced-based, smoothies are a blended beverage that consists of yoghurt, milk, fruits and juices.
