Step 2: Wait to be contacted by our trade-in partner to schedule a trade-in delivery date

Shopee’s trade-in partner will contact you within two working days (via WhatsApp) to arrange a convenient date/time to perform the exchange at your doorstep. They’ll deliver your new phone and collect your old phone at the same time. 

Step 3: Prepare and complete these before the scheduled delivery date

• Back up and erase your data: Make sure your phone is fully backed up, all personal data is deleted, and that you’ve logged out of iCloud, Google Account, and any other cloud services linked to your device.
• Remove accessories: Take out all accessories such as SIM cards and memory cards before handing over your phone.
• Turn off security features: Disable any active security locks (e.g. Find my iPhone security features).

• If the device’s condition matches your earlier declaration, no additional payment is required, and the exchange for your new device will be completed immediately.

Tips to prepare your iPhone for trade-in

Before you hand over your old iPhone for trade-in, there are a few important steps to ensure a smooth experience. These steps protect your data and help you meet the trade-in requirements:

Check physical condition

1. Does it power on normally and hold a charge? The device should be able to power on and display its IMEI (dial *#06# or check Settings > General > About).
2. Are all buttons and features working?
3. Is the screen in acceptable condition?

If you stated in the questionnaire that the phone has no cracks and turns on, make sure that’s truly the case to avoid any surprises during inspection.
