Okay, so, let’s talk about eye creams. I know, I know… some of you are probably rolling your eyes like, “Eye creams? Really? They’re just a gimmick.” I used to be one of those people! I was all about the “less is more” mentality when it comes to skincare. But let me tell you, my eyes were not loving it. They were looking tired, puffy, and definitely started showing signs of aging. So, I decided to give eye creams a chance and it was a game-changer!
My eyes went from puffy to perky and kept me looking fresh even without makeup! Of course, like any other skincare product, I had to do my research and try different products. I narrowed them down to the top 7 that worked well for me. If you’re looking for recommendations, you’re in the right place! Here is my roundup of the best eye creams in Singapore.
Let’s get this straight: eye creams are not miracle products that can erase fine lines and reduce dark circles overnight. However, the best eye creams can address some of the issues you face on your under eye area. According to WebMD, the skin under your eyes is thinner (40% thinner, to be exact), and prone to dryness. Hence, they are usually where you’ll spot the first signs of ageing, such as crow’s feet and fine lines.
Eye creams address these issues with specific ingredients like peptides, vitamin C, and retinol, which not only hydrate, but help boost skin cell renewal and collagen production.
But you can obviously get that from moisturisers too, right? Well, yes. Though, for oily/combination skin like mine, moisturisers make my skin look too greasy in Singapore’s humid weather (especially during summer). Using eye cream helped target not only my under eyes, but also my forehead and smile lines, which are areas that are prone to wrinkles.
Prevention is better than cure. Start using an eye cream before signs of ageing start to show – which is usually in your 20s. You can start with a lightweight formula and work your way up like how I did. And remember: a little goes a long way.
If the main goal is to reduce or prevent fine lines and wrinkles, look out for ingredients like hyaluronic acid, peptides, or retinol. Hyaluronic acid is known for its hydrating properties, and helps to plump up the skin. Be sure to apply it on damp skin! Retinol, on the other hand, is a star anti-ageing ingredient that helps to increase cell turnover rate and increase collagen production. Peptides help to boost collagen production, and are milder than retinol.
If you’re like me, whose main concern was dark circles obtained from binge-watching Netflix, I highly recommend picking eye creams with vitamin C, niacinamide, or liquorice. Vitamin C is an antioxidant that protects your skin against free radicals, and helps to even out your skin tone. Niacinamide rejuvenates your skin and reduces hyperpigmentation. Meanwhile, liquorice may be less talked about, but is also an effective ingredient for brightening your skin.
Dark circles are often accompanied by puffiness, especially when I eat snacks high in sodium the night before and I’m pretty sure you do too. To make them perky the next morning, I used an eye cream that contains caffeine to relieve some of the water retention. This ingredient helps to boost blood circulation, and reduce discolouration as well.
There’s no denying that the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Supercharged Gel Cream was a bit heavy on my wallet, but its ingredients, consistency, and effectiveness go a long way to justify that price tag. The star ingredient for this is the Bifida ferment lysate, which is rich in proteins, lactic acid, and vitamins to nourish and rejuvenate the skin. It also contains hyaluronic acid to moisturise, and antioxidants that promote skin repair.
Texture wise, the Estee Lauder eye cream had a luxurious gel-like texture that is deeply hydrating. It was very light on my under eye and not too rich. My problem with heavy eye creams is that my under eye easily develops milia. So this was such a great lightweight choice for me that I can use both for my AM and PM routine.
Bonus, because it’s a gel-type, it seamlessly sinks in to the skin that my concealer doesn’t cake when I put it on!
I get why it has been so highly raved as one of the best eye creams in Singapore! It’s not just for reducing wrinkles, but also for brightening and restoring skin elasticity. You can use it both in the morning and at night for the best results!

Retinol is a hero anti-ageing ingredient that’s talked about non-stop. It is highly recommended by dermatologists for its effectiveness in increasing collagen production and skin renewal. Personally, I’ve started incorporating it in my skincare routine as well and it has greatly improved my skin texture!
I’ve stumbled upon SOMEBYMI Retinol Intense Advanced Triple Action Eye Cream in the middle of my retinol journey and I can say it is one of the best Korean eye creams in Singapore. It’s an affordable eye cream that contains both retinal and retinol to help with wrinkle reduction, and also has plant-based peptides that plump and firm up the skin under the eyes.
My skin has been conditioned to retinol usage and it’s been a breeze using this product! If you’re worried about retinol being too harsh, the SOMEBYMI Retinol Eye Cream contains glacial water and water lily to soothe the skin!

I’ve known Bio Essence as an affordable skincare that delivers results so it’s no surprise to me to include this as one of the best eye creams in Singapore. The Bio Essence Bio VLift Eye Lifting Essence is lightweight and has some interesting components. It contains Black Orchid, which helps to plump the skin and restore firmness around the eyes.
What I liked about this eye essence is that it strengthens the skin barrier and protects it against external stressors like pollution. I used it both for my AM and PM routine.
It has a very light consistency which made it easy to absorb and also didn’t crease my makeup for the whole day! It kept my under eyes perky enough even with the lack of sleep I had. Overall, this was a pretty good buy!

Ginseng is an ingredient that reduces wrinkles, promotes skin elasticity, and reduces puffiness and inflammation. However, not all ginsengs are made equal. And the Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Eye Cream proves this point with their patented Ginsenomics technology that enriches Ginseng Saponin, the rarest type of ginseng, by 6,000 times its potency.
Along with SOMEBYMI, I’ve clocked it as one of the best Korean eye creams based on reviews. It’s known to be highly effective in reducing and preventing the appearance of eye wrinkles and with its moisturising consistency, I can agree that it is!
It comes with an eye massager to massage the cream onto the eye contours, which I really love! This type of application helps get the product in there and at the same time helps depuff my eyes.
A small dollop of the cream goes a long way when you apply it with the massager! (Kind of justifies the price in my opinion!) Personally, I prefer it for night use only as the cream gets mixed in with my makeup when I apply it in the morning.

If dark eye circles are your biggest concern, the PROYA Double Anti Aging Eye Cream is one of the best eye creams designed to target that. I’m typically wary of eye creams that are too heavy because I’m prone to getting milia. But when I tried this, I was pleasantly surprised with its super light consistency which had me in high hopes! It has a watery consistency that is lightweight yet effective.
The Proya eye cream contains ingredients like bacillus extract, which removes dead skin cells and awakens dull skin. My favourite thing about this is that it is a triple-action formula that depuffs with caffeine and plumps the skin with peptides as well!
It left a huge hole in my pockets but I’m very happy with the experience because it also comes with an eye massager stick! It’s usable both for AM and PM which I love because the massager definitely helps remove the puffiness in the morning.
I’d say it’s definitely worth the investment!

So we all know La Roche Posay, a brand highly-recommended by dermatologists, but also a tad bit pricey. Naturally, I had high expectations for their eye cream and I was not disappointed! From the ingredients-list alone, it targets multiple undereye problems.
The La Roche Posay Redermic C Eyes contains pure vitamin C that’s supposed to help reduce hyperpigmentation and dark eye circles. It’s also dual-purpose as it protects against damage from UV rays too.
Plus, I’d like to highlight that this La Roche Posay eye cream is packed with hyaluronic acid. This ingredient is known for its hydrating properties that will plump the under eyes. And I saw all the beneficial effect the formula promised. My skin absorbed the lightweight formula rather quickly and it kept my under eyes moisturised throughout the day! The bonus was how my concealer did not cake at all which was a good sign that it’s effective in moisturising and keeping my dark under eyes bright!

Personally, I trust The Ordinary products 100%! The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG is a miracle worker for those puffy under-eyes! I mean, we all know caffeine is a life-saver when it comes to a late night out, right? Well, turns out, it’s amazing for your skin too. It helps to reduce puffiness and dark circles, making you look like you got eight hours of sleep (even if you didn’t).
And what’s EGCG, you ask? It’s a powerful antioxidant found in green tea that helps to protect your skin from damage and inflammation. So, basically, this eye serum is like a double whammy of goodness for your under-eye area.
I’ve been using this serum for a few weeks now, and I’m obsessed. The difference it’s made in my under-eyes is insane. They look brighter, more refreshed, and way less puffy. Plus, it’s super lightweight and absorbs quickly, so it doesn’t interfere with my makeup.
If you’re looking for a budget-friendly eye serum that actually works, The Ordinary Caffeine Solution is a must-try. It’s a total game-changer!

There’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to eye creams, but you can consider your specific concerns – wrinkles, dark circles, or puffiness – and choose a product that targets those needs.
