Seriously Sarap: 15 Best Filipino Restaurants In Singapore

If you’ve ever grown up eating Filipino food, you’ll know there’s nothing quite as comforting as a steaming bowl of sinigang or as celebratory as lechon and lumpia. The good news is that you don’t need to hop on a flight to Manila to get your fix! Singapore has plenty of places serving hearty, flavour-packed Filipino fare. From famous names like Gerry’s Grill and Tapa King to hidden gems tucked away in Lucky Plaza, here are the best Filipino restaurants in Singapore that’ll transport your taste buds straight to the Philippines.

1. Esquinita by Konyo

Great food with even better company in a lively atmosphere

If you’re after more than just the food, Esquinita by Konyo offers a lively atmosphere that matches the bold flavours on your plate. It’s also one of the top recommendations from our colleague, Jena, who grew up in the Philippines. She describes the place as energetic and upbeat, perfect for winding down after a long week at work. And really, nothing says celebratory Filipino food quite like Chicharon Bulaklak ($16), deep-fried pork fat that is a popular beer chow back in the Philippines.

Filled with live music and a buzzing crowd, Esquinita has that laid-back, street-side feel you’d find in Manila. Grab a beer or a bottle of wine for the table, and have some Wagyu Salpicao ($20) or Prawn Gambas ($16) on the side for a savoury snack. The dishes are great for sharing, the vibes are fun, and it’s exactly the kind of place you go to unwind with friends over good food and even better company.

2. Iskina Cebu

Budget-friendly eats with authentic flavours

Our colleague Jena also recommends Iskina Cebu, a casual eatery that serves up authentic Cebuano dishes. She says it’s one of the best-value spots for Filipino food in Singapore, with hearty rice meals starting at under $10. The flavours are true to what you’d find back in the Philippines – rich, homey, and satisfying. It’s her top pick whenever she’s craving a taste of home for lunch.

They serve familiar favourites like Cebu-style Lechon ($12.50 for 250g), roasted until the skin is extra crispy, infused with lemongrass, and best enjoyed with soy sauce and vinegar on the side. Another must-try is the Sizzling Sisig Pork Meal ($10), served with rice and egg for a satisfying lunch. Budget-friendly, filling, and oh-so mouthwatering, Iskina Cebu is one of the best Filipino restaurants in Singapore for its simple yet tasty dishes.

3. Lola J Kusinang Pinoy

Highly-rated Filipino comfort food

With a whopping 4.9 out of 5 stars on Google, it’s no wonder that Lola J Kusinang Pinoy is known as one of the best Filipino restaurants in Singapore. The space is small, with just a few tables, but you’ll be greeted by a warm welcome and that signature Filipino hospitality from the moment you walk in.

Lola J Kusinang Pinoy sticks to traditional ingredients and cooking methods, which is why the place is often packed with Filipinos during the lunch rush. Their menu is packed with comforting, flavourful dishes that feel like home. Where else can you get a party tray of Crispy Pork Belly ($43 per kilogram), with its perfectly crackly skin, and tender, flavourful meat? From Lumpia Shanghai (starts at $12) to Pork Adobo Rice (starts at $13), everything here is hearty, no-frills, and made to hit the spot!

Fri – Sun: 11am – 8.30pm

4. Hayop by Manam

Fusion Filipino food reimagined with bold twists and fresh flair

As one of the best Filipino restaurants in Singapore, Hayop offers a modern take on well-loved classics. This casual dining spot is modelled after its Philippine counterpart, Manam, and brings that same creative approach to its menu.

One dish I always recommend is the Wagyu and Watermelon Sinigang ($56), with the charred watermelon adding a refreshing flavour and subtle sweetness to the tangy soup. Pair it with some steamed white rice and their House Special Crispy Sisig ($22) for a rich and satisfying meal. And don’t forget the dessert – their Signature Halo-Halo ($18) is reminiscent of ice kacang, with sweetened beans, shaved ice, and a scoop of ube ice cream that makes an indulgent end to the meal!

Address: 104 Amoy Street, S(069924)
Opening hours:
Tue – Fri: 11.30am – 2.30pm, 5pm – 10pm

5. Kuya’s Kusinang Pinoy

No-frills meals packed with flavour

(Credit: Kuya’s Kusinang Pinoy / Facebook)

Filipino food isn’t just about adobo and lechon; there’s a whole range of dishes that might not be as well-known outside the Philippines, but they’re just as comforting. If you’re looking to sink your teeth into some authentic bites, Kuya’s Kusinang Pinoy is a great place where you can try these lesser-known dishes. They’re just as tasty as the classics!

This carinderia-style eatery is perfect for a quick, fuss-free lunch. There are plenty of ready-to-serve dishes to choose from, so you can be in and out without the wait. Tuck into a bowl of spicy coconut pork stew called Bicol Express ($10.50), or warm up with a rich beef Bulalo ($18) broth for lunch. It’s a no-frills kind of place, but it definitely makes my list when it comes to the best Filipino food in Singapore.

6. Tapa King

Hearty breakfasts to start the day right

(Credit: tapakingsg / Instagram)

Start your day with some breakfast from a well-known tapsilogan that’s just as popular in Singapore as it is in the Philippines: Tapa King. It’s one of the best Filipino restaurants serving authentic tapa, as well as other breakfast staples like tocino (sweet marinated pork) and danggit (salted fish). Still, it’s their Tapsilog ($9.80) that remains their best-selling menu item, available in classic, spicy and sweet versions, or as Crispy-Fried Tapa Flakes ($10.30).

Tapsilog is a popular Filipino dish made up of tapa (marinated, stir-fried beef strips), sinangag (garlic fried rice), and itlog (fried egg). Tapa King keeps their flavours consistent, which is why it’s become such a go-to for many Filipinos living in Singapore. Their dishes taste just like how they serve them in the Philippines! My recommendation? Dip your tapa in some spiced vinegar for that added kick.

The menu at Gerry’s Grill is packed with signature dishes that are perfect for sharing. Specialising in grilled, sizzling, and fried dishes, you can expect the usual Filipino fare like Inihaw na Liempo ($16.50) to Sizzling Pork Sisig ($16.50). But if you’re after something richer, hearty meats like Lechon Kawali ($16.50) and Crispy Pata ($31) are also on the menu, and they taste as close to the real thing as you can get!

This simple and homely kitchen serves some of the best Filipino food in Singapore, with a side of great service and a warm smile! The menu at Mamita’s Kitchen changes daily, so there’s always something new to try, but you’ll often find Filipino staples like beef bulalo, laing, and lumpia making regular appearances. And if you’re hosting a party, Mamita’s Kitchen also offers party trays of their authentic Filipino food, starting at just $35 for a portion that feeds four to five people.

9. Kanto Grill

For modern Filipino food with traditional ingredients

(Credit: kanto.singapore / Facebook)

I love a good barbecue, and Chef Kurt and his team at Kanto Grill take Filipino ihaw to the next level, blending traditional flavours and his own contemporary takes. Chef Kurt says it all comes down to quality ingredients and refined techniques. Even with simple components, Kanto Grill serves up delectable dishes that make them one of the best Filipino restaurants in Singapore!

Try the Pork Sisig ($18), made with hand-chopped, caramelised pork that’s both crispy and rich, served with a creamy, mayo-style dressing. Or, go for one of my personal favourites: Smoked Chicken Inasal ($15) that’s tender, juicy, and perfectly char-grilled over a pugon wood-fire oven. Yum!

Tue – Wed, Fri – Sun: 12pm – 3pm
Thu: 11am – 3pm

10. Nanay’s Kitchen

Halal Filipino food that doesn’t skimp on flavour

(Credit: Nanay’s Kitchen / Facebook)

With Islam being the second-largest religion in the Philippines, it’s no surprise that there’s a rich variety of halal Filipino dishes too. Nanay’s Kitchen brings some of the best Filipino food to Singapore with a scrumptious spread of halal dishes that doesn’t skimp on flavour. From hearty rice meals to comforting stews, the dishes here stay true to Filipino flavours while being fully Muslim-friendly.

Chow down on an order of Inihaw na Pusit ($11), or grilled squid, and Filipino-style Pancit Bee Hoon ($7) for a filling meal. Each dish is made home-style, so you get those authentic flavours just like nanay (mum) used to make!  It’s a great spot if you’re looking to enjoy the best of Filipino cuisine in a halal setting, whether you’re already familiar with the food or trying it for the first time.

(Credit: Pinoy Ave Sg Lucky Plaza / Facebook)

Go all hands on deck (literally) with one of the best Filipino restaurants in Singapore! Pinoy Ave SG at Lucky Plaza offers a full-on Boodle Feast at just $15 per person. Think mountains of grilled, fried, or braised meat, seafood, and vegetables piled high on a bed of rice and banana leaves, all meant to be eaten kamayan (with your hands)!

While a Boodle Feast may not be everyone’s cup of tea, it’s an interesting dining experience that’s meant to foster camaraderie. However, if you’d rather keep things neat, Pinoy Ave SG also has a full menu of rice meals and Filipino dishes, so you can still enjoy your favourites without diving into the mess.

12. Don Lechon

Crispy, flavourful lechon any day of the week

Now we get to one of the most iconic dishes in Filipino cuisine: Pork Lechon. Traditionally, lechon is a whole suckling pig roasted over charcoal, known for its crispy skin and slightly smoky flavour. It’s usually reserved for big celebrations, but Don Lechon makes it accessible any day of the week by serving it by the plate with their Chopped Lechon Meal ($13).

Imagine having lechon for a regular weeknight dinner (not gonna lie, I’ve definitely done that). It’s one of those dishes that instantly brings back memories of home, and Don Lechon has become a go-to for many Filipinos in Singapore craving that authentic, familiar taste without needing a special occasion to enjoy it.

13. Second Serving

For Filipino food so good, you’re bound to have seconds

(Credit: Second Serving / Facebook)

With a name like Second Serving, you just know you’re gonna want seconds! Second Serving is considered one of the best Filipino restaurants in Singapore, serving everything from Filipino street food like fishballs and halo-halo, to heavier snacks like Seafood Vermicelli Noodles (starts at $8.90) called palabok

One breakfast staple I recommend is a warm Taho ($2), which is a Filipino version of tau huay, flavoured with brown sugar syrup and topped with sago pearls. If you’re looking for a quick lunch, you can also get a Bento Takeout ($9.90) with all their best dishes for a smorgasbord of flavour you’ll keep coming back for. And if you’re planning a party or event, they offer catering too! A Filipino-inspired menu filled with flavour-packed dishes is definitely not a bad way to celebrate something big.

Halo-halo inside a coconut? Yes please! Luci’s Kitchen adds a tropical spin to the Filipino dessert with their Sandosenang Halo Halo in Buko ($10). It’s served in a whole coconut shell, packed with shaved ice, sweetened beans, coconut strips, and all the usual goodies, then topped with a scoop of creamy ube ice cream for the perfect finish.

Besides their halo-halo, Luci’s Kitchen also serves up authentic Filipino comfort food like Beef Goto with Rice ($10), Tokwa’t Baboy ($7.90) and more. It’s a small place that reminds me of those mom-and-pop eateries in the Philippines, but they still serve some great Filipino food!

Lechon Republic doesn’t just serve freshly roasted lechon on its own; they also take Filipino dishes like kare-kare and bopis, giving them a roasty, meaty twist by using lechon as the main protein. You get an extra rich and flavourful meal that will make you want more!

Step inside and you’ll often see the place filled with Filipinos grabbing a familiar bite, which is always a good sign you’re in the right spot. Plus, Lechon Republic is one of the few Filipino restaurants in Singapore where you can get a Boodle Feast ($148) to go, with a generous spread of meat, seafood, and of course, their crispy, juicy lechon, all packed for sharing with friends or family. Add in a Buko Pandan Salad (starts at $4.80) for dessert, and you’ve got the perfect meal for any celebration, whether it’s a birthday, potluck, or a cheat day!
