The F1 action will once again take place on the iconic Marina Bay Street Circuit – a 4.94 km night track packed with tight corners and tricky braking zones.
Roads around Marina Bay will close days before the race, so plan ahead. If you’re gunning for a free viewing spot, go early to chope your place – the best ones fill up fast.
For easy reference, we’ve included the circuit map so you can plan the best viewing spots if you’re thinking of where to watch F1 live. If not, read on for our recommendations on where and how you can watch the F1 GP in Singapore for free!
Turns 6 – 7, 14 – 16
One of the most popular free-viewing places is the Marina Square Roof Garden. From here, you can catch the action between Turns 6 and 7, and if you look across, sometimes even parts of Turns 14–16.
The vibe? Packed but shiok. You’ll hear the roar of the cars bouncing off the buildings, and the sightlines are pretty decent. Just be ready for the crowd – people will camp here from the afternoon.
Address: Marina Square, 6 Raffles Boulevard, S(039594)
Opening Hours: Daily, 10am – 10pm
Turns 5 – 6
Right opposite Marina Square, Millenia Walk gives you front-row views of Raffles Boulevard (Turns 5 – 6). The star spot is the link bridge connecting to Marina Square, which practically hangs over the track.
While waiting, you can grab food at the eateries inside, then just step out and get your free F1 fix.
Address: Millenia Walk, 9 Raffles Boulevard, S(039596)
Opening Hours: Daily, 11am – 9.30pm
Turns 9 – 10
For something a bit more atas, head up to the rooftop of the National Gallery Singapore. From here, you’ll get views of cars speeding down St. Andrew’s Road (Turns 9 – 10).
Pair that with the Padang atmosphere, usually buzzing with concerts and activities during F1 weekend, and it’s a solid experience. If you want to upgrade, swing by Smoke & Mirrors bar for cocktails with your race views.
Address: National Gallery Singapore, 1 Saint Andrew’s Road, S(178957)
Opening Hours: Daily, 10am – 7pm
Turns 13 – 15
This one’s a fan favourite. The Esplanade Roof Terrace overlooks a stretch covering Turns 13 – 15, so you’ll see plenty of action.
It’s also one of the most crowded free spots, so bring a picnic mat, camp early, and get comfy under the stars. The vibes are unbeatable – think picnic party meets adrenaline rush.
Address: Esplanade Mall, 8 Raffles Avenue, S(039802)
Opening Hours: Daily, 24/7
Turns 15 – 18
Even though parts of it are fenced off, the Helix Bridge remains a classic spot. You’ll be right by the final turns (15–18) before the finish line, so the atmosphere is extra intense.
You might only catch glimpses through the barricades, but trust me — the sound and speed more than make up for it. Just brace yourself for the crowd management — security will guide people to keep the flow moving.
Address: Entrance of The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, 6 Bayfront Avenue, S(018974)
Turn 13
Down by the waterfront, One Fullerton and the Merlion Park area give you views of Turn 13. It’s not super close, but you’ll definitely spot the cars as they whip around the bend.
Locals love to chope a space at Merlion Park early, armed with snacks and foldable chairs. With the bay lights twinkling behind, this is one of the most scenic free-viewing options.
Address: One Fullerton, 1 Fullerton Road, S(049213)
Opening Hours: Daily, 24/7
Can’t be bothered fighting the Marina Bay crowds? Head East. Cosford Container Park ran a Race Weekend Market in 2024 – complete with stalls, F1-themed activities, and most importantly, live screenings on a giant LED screen.
It’s family-friendly, has space to chill, and the carnival vibes are a fun way to enjoy race weekend without squeezing shoulder-to-shoulder.
Note: Cosford hasn’t confirmed if this event will return in 2025, so keep an eye out for updates.
Address: 30 Cosford Road, S(499550)
This is the heartland way to enjoy F1. Big CCs like Our Tampines Hub, Heartbeat@Bedok, Bishan CC, Keat Hong CC, and Woodlands Galaxy CC usually host free live screenings of both qualifying and Race Day.
Expect carnival booths, arcade-style racing simulators, and lots of families and fans cheering together. It’s wholesome, it’s loud, and it’s completely free.
Located right at Orchard, Crossroads Cafe at Marriott Tang Plaza screens the race outdoors. Grab a beer promo, order some grub, and enjoy F1 with the Orchard crowd.
It’s basically like watching a street circuit in a street café. Expect it to be packed on Race Day, so book a table early.
Address: Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel, 320 Orchard Road, S(238865)
Opening hours:
Sun – Thur: 11am – 12am
Fri – Sat: 11am – 1.30am
Eat, play and race at Harry’s over the upcoming F1 Grand Prix season in Singapore! Not only do they screen the race, but they also bring in F1 racing simulators for you to try. So if you ever wanted to test your driving chops while the pros are on screen, this is the place. Prizes are waiting to be won!
Do note that Harry’s Eat. Play. Race. event is only taking place at their Boat Quay and Cuppage outlets.
If you happen to be staying at these hotels (lucky you), you’ve basically got a private grandstand. But of course, these aren’t exactly free unless you already booked a staycation!
Right in the middle of Turns 5 – 6 and 15 – 19
Consider The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore (viewable on mobile only), offering birds-eye views of the race from T5 to T6, as well as T15 to T19. Given that there are no other buildings in its immediate surroundings, any level in The Ritz-Carlton will promise a view like no other. You may even get the chance to see who comes out as the winner!
Address: The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, Marina Bay 7, Raffles Avenue, S(039799)
Request city-facing room and you’ll see almost the whole track
Marina Bay Sands (viewable on mobile only) is definitely a popular choice. We recommend booking a room on a higher floor so you’ll get a good view of the ongoing concerts at the Bay Grandstand area, too.
Address: Marina Bay Sands, 10 Bayfront Avenue, S(018956)
One of the tallest in Singapore, with sweeping views of the circuit
Want to witness your favourite F1 drivers zip down the roads live? Then, Swissotel The Stamford (viewable on mobile only) is another F1 hotel you can consider. Some might worry that the Civilian War Memorial is blocking the view (T7 to T9). But rest assured, the hotel is one of the tallest with 73 stories after all.
Address: Swissotel The Stamford, 2 Stamford Road, S(178882)
Overlooks Turns 11 – 14; near Singapore River for more views
Overlooking the stretch between T11 and T14 at the corner of Zone 4, The Fullerton Hotel (viewable on mobile only) has the perfect view to catch F1 drivers zipping through tough edges. What’s more, outside The Fullerton Hotel lies a large walkway along the Singapore River where you can get an outdoor perspective of the race and see your beloved racers up close.
Address: The Fullerton Hotel, 1 Fullerton Square, S(049178)
Close-ups of Turns 6 – 7 and 15 – 18, plus rooftop bars
It was renovated recently in 2023 too, so the F1 race is the perfect excuse to stay at this “brand new” hotel!
Address: Mandarin Oriental Singapore, 5 Raffles Avenue, S(039797)
Prime view of Turn 6 straightaway
Not sure where else you can go to watch the F1 SG GP for free? If you’re hanging around the Marina Bay area, why not book a staycation over the F1 weekend at the Pan Pacific? It’s located right at T6, where you’ll get clear views of your favourite drivers racing down a straight track. You might even get to see them making that turn at T7!
Address: Pan Pacific Singapore, 7 Raffles Boulevard, S(039595)
Catch Turns 7, 8 and 14 from your room
As Singapore’s very first ‘Garden-in-a-Hotel’, you can’t miss out on booking a stay at the Park Royal. It’s your chance to experience Southeast Asia’s largest sky-lit atrium. You’ll be transported into an urban jungle right in the heart of the central business district – talk about a mini Gardens By The Bay, amirite?
But more importantly, the turns are situated right at the Park Royal Hotel. There’s T7, T8 and T14; all relatively sharp turns where you’ll get to see the professional F1 racers in action!
Address: PARK ROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay, 6 Raffles Boulevard, S(039594)
The F1 teams are in town for the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix, which means drivers from Red Bull to Ferrari will be out and about in the Lion City. In past seasons, fans have spotted drivers at iconic spots – think Marina Bay Sands, Clarke Quay, even Sentosa. For instance, Pierre Gasly was seen roaming Marina Square mall before the big weekend. So keep your eyes peeled, you might just bump into an F1 driver grabbing coffee or taking in the sights around town.
One surefire way to find a Formula 1 driver is to attend public events and fan meets. In the days leading up to the Grand Prix, teams often host meet-and-greet sessions or sponsor events where drivers make appearances.
Similar pop-ups can happen at fan zones or promotional gigs, too. In past years, some drivers have shown up at official F1 fan zones or surprise autograph sessions, giving lucky fans a chance for selfies and autographs. The key is to stay updated and be ready to dash to these locations when news breaks. It also helps to follow F1 Singapore’s social media for announcements!
After each day’s track action, many drivers will unwind at Singapore’s swankiest bars, clubs, and restaurants. A few known hotspots have been graced by driver cameos: Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc was reportedly spotted clinking glasses at the opulent Atlas bar, and an Instagram snap even caught him and Pierre Gasly hanging out at the Ce La Vi rooftop bar atop Marina Bay Sands. So venues like Marquee and Avenue (both at Marina Bay Sands) are prime territory for post-race partying drivers. Even exclusive after-parties like Amber Lounge are known to draw the biggest names in motorsport. High-end dining is also on the menu: don’t be surprised if you spot a famous F1 face dining at a celebrity restaurant such as Odette or CUT by Wolfgang Puck.
So, where do F1 drivers stay in Singapore? It’s no secret that F1 teams book some of the city’s most luxurious hotels for the race week. We’ve heard the Mercedes team favours the JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach. Ferrari’s duo Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz are often linked to the Marina Bay Sands Hotel, given Ferrari’s partnership with MBS. McLaren’s global hotel partner is Hilton, so Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri are likely to be spotted at the Hilton Singapore Orchard.
Teams like Red Bull, Aston Martin, Haas, Williams, and AlphaTauri tend to keep their hotel plans hush-hush. But whether it’s in a hotel lobby, a chic rooftop bar, or a mall downtown, the city turns into an F1 driver spotting ground during Grand Prix week.
Q: Where can I watch F1 without paying?
A: You can catch F1 without paying at public vantage points (like Marina Square, Helix Bridge, Esplanade Roof Terrace), community screenings at CCs, or live screenings at places like Cosford Container Park. Basically, chope a good spot early, or join a screening with the crowd.
Q: How to watch F1 in Singapore for free?
A: The easiest way is to head down to Marina Bay and squeeze into one of the free viewing areas. Otherwise, drop by a CC or bar screening. Just note there’s no free-to-air TV broadcast in Singapore, so you can’t just switch on local TV. But we’ve heard you can give MeWatch a go to catch the live broadcast!
No ticket? No problem. Whether you’re camping at Marina Square’s rooftop, squeezing onto Helix Bridge, or cheering with the community at Tampines Hub, the vibes are sure to be electric.
