Xexymix Vs Lululemon: Honest Comparison Of Fit, Style & Price

Finding the right activewear is just as important as your matcha latte order. The battle of the brands is ON! I’ve been a Lululemon girlie ever since I was a teenage athlete. But let’s be real, sometimes the prices are just not it! So, as an alternative, I tried using Xexymix for a change, as recommended by a friend. Here’s my experience with Xexymix vs Lululemon, the two most talked-about labels in the fitness-girlie universe.

How we’re judging: The fitness girlie test

Before we get into the juicy deets, here’s how I’m breaking down this Xexymix vs Lululemon showdown. This isn’t just a basic “which one’s cheaper” list. I actually wore these pieces across a full week of fitness classes, and I judged both brands based on four key criteria that matter to anyone serious about sweating in style:

Criteria We’re Judging
Aesthetic & Fit Flattering design, silhouette, inclusivity, and comfort

Does it flatter? Can I move comfortably? And do I look like I walked out of a K-pop MV or a wellness retreat in Bali? We’re looking at design, silhouette, size inclusivity, and how well it fits different body types, especially for us Southeast Asians.

Fabric Technology & Longevity Breathability, sweat-wicking, wash durability, and feel

Is it soft? Is it breathable? Can it handle a high-intensity dance sesh without turning into a soggy mess? This category tests how the fabrics hold up in Singapore’s heat, how sweat-wicking they are, and whether they’ll survive multiple washes.

Affordability & Variety Price point, style range, and product diversity

Because let’s be honest, sometimes we wear activewear without working out. So which brand lets us transition from mat to market? From spin to sushi? From pickleball to a brunch meet-up? This section checks how wearable these pieces are outside the gym.

Versatility & Everyday Wear How well it transitions from workout to casual wear

Are we paying for the label or the performance? We’ll look at pricing, what you actually get for your money, and whether the brand offers enough styles and ranges (bonus points for bundle deals, modest wear, and new drops).

Xexymix vs Lululemon overview

Brand Aesthetic & Fit Fabric Tech Versatility Affordability Average Score
Xexymix 3.8 3 4.0 4.8 3.9 / 5
Lululemon 4.0 4.8 4.8 3.5 4.3 / 5

Clothing contenders from Xexymix vs. Lululemon

For the highlight of this review, I did wear tests during dance, pickleball, and pilates classes. It’s also important to note that my body type is on the taller and curvier side. These are the pieces I ended up splurging on:

Xexymix

Xexymix leans all the way into fashion-forward fitness. Think pastel tones, asymmetrical sports bras, backless cuts, ruched seams, and sets that look straight out of a Le Sserafim music video. The design language is bold and trendy, appealing to the gym-goers who treat their outfits like a full aesthetic. Even their classic silhouettes come with cute tweaks like mesh panels, V-cut waistbands, or high-gloss textures that make you feel put-together even when drenched in sweat.

Lululemon

  • Align™ Tank Top Light Support
  • Align™ High-Rise Skirt
  • Enlite Weave-Back Bra High Support

Lululemon’s aesthetic is more neutral, minimal, and luxe. Clean lines, high-function silhouettes, and mostly solid colours. If you’re into the “quiet luxury” look (think oat milk tones and basics that go from spin class to sushi), you’ll love it. But style-wise, it won’t turn as many heads as Xexymix.

Xexymix Lululemon
What I liked
  • Super trendy and flattering
  • Great for petite & curvy frames
  • Clean lines and minimalist luxury
  • Excellent tailoring and wide sizing range
What I wished to see
  • Bigger sizes
  • Less bold in design choices
Score (out of 5) 3.8 4

In terms of fit, Xexymix garments are tailored more for petite and hourglass body types, with lots of options that flatter curves while hugging you tight in the right places (especially the waist). However, the flip side is that sizing runs small. If you’re taller or have broader shoulders/hips (like me), you’ll want to size up or check length options.

I tried the Black Label 360N leggings and instantly loved the snatched high waistband. I wore these for a pilates class, and everything stayed in place. It fits so nicely that I can see my body lines so well. My glutes? Looking lifted. My waist? Cinched. The RX Black Label 360N Support Bra Top would’ve been nice as well if they had a bigger size. It holds the girls really well, but I find it too tight for me in some movements. But my favourite is the Bound Mesh Shorts! I love wearing these to my dance classes since they’re very comfortable and breathable.

Rating it a 4 might sound like a biased take, but I really swear by Lululemon’s fit as a tall and curvy girl. The minus point goes to the lack of variety of designs, but it’s perfect in terms of functionality and fit.

The Align™ Tank Top Light Support surprised me the most because I was expecting it to be a bit too loose, but it kept the girls intact during my dance training. I’m a bit sceptical of light support bras most of the time, but I can vouch for this one to really secure your bust area. The best part? It’s a tank top with a built-in bra, so it doubles as a casual top you can wear on a sunny hangout. Coupled with that is my recent favourite thing to wear during pickleball games –the Align™ High-Rise Skirt. No waistband rolling, built-in shorts, and no stress. The colour variations for it are cute as well!

But if you want a surefire, locked-in security, you can put your entire trust in their Enlite Weave-Back Bra High Support. Most high-support bras focus on functionality and less on design, but this one hits two birds with one stone. It has a nice, secure underbust band that doubles as a waistband to accentuate your figure. I’d say it’s plain, but still trendy!

Fabric technology & longevity: Which one actually lasts?

Xexymix Lululemon
What I liked
  • Cooling, lightweight, tropical-ready
  • UV protection, high stretch
  • High-tech fabric for every activity
  • Holds up after months (even years) of use
What I wished to see
  • Tougher fabric for the leggings since it started slight pilling.
  • Fabric that’s less warm
Score (out of 5) 3 4.8

Xexymix gets a 3 for me since it performs surprisingly well, but I would say it isn’t built for long-term usage. Their XELLA™ and 360N fabrics are impressive for the price. They’re cooling, quick-dry, and stretch with every move. My 360N bra top handled a whole hour of mat pilates, including crazy twisting stretches and stayed dry! In terms of softness, it’s almost as nice as Lululemon. But here’s the kicker: it’s built for tropical weather. I didn’t feel sticky once, and the UV-protective fabric? Big win for sun chasers.

But after two weeks of consistent use in intense activity (especially in dance and pickleball), the leggings showed light pilling at the inner thigh area, and the compression started to loosen a bit. Though the mesh shorts were still intact and okay!

For Lululemon, this is where you can trust them! That’s why I give them a solid 4.8. Their proprietary fabrics are engineered for different needs like soft comfort, high sweat, or serious stretch. They maintain their shape even after a year of weekly wear. I’ve had a pair of Lululemon joggers that I’ve been using for almost a decade now, and they’re still intact! I don’t even remember the name of the collection anymore. The stitching is also more durable than Xexymix. No pilling between the thighs, no loose seams, and the fabric holds up through high-impact washes and intense Singapore humidity.

Their Align collection is famous for its Nulu™ fabric that’s buttery soft, weightless, and feels like a second skin. Now this is where they get minus points from me: if you sweat buckets, it may not be the most breathable during intense sessions. As much as I love the Align tank top, it can get a bit hot if other layers are worn over it. I find myself sweating a lot more when I wear it to dance and play pickleball.

Versatility & everyday wear: Which brand does more than workouts?

Xexymix Lululemon
What I liked
  • Lots of trendy style variety.
  • Great for fit-check photos.
  • Versatile styles that can be worn in casual settings
  • Timeless, classy pieces
What I wished to see
  • More versatile comfy pieces for lazy days
  • More tank top varieties
Score (out of 5) 4 4.8

Xexymix leans more toward athleisure with flair, and I give them a solid 4 for the wide variety of styles. Their styles are for the girls who want to show up at pilates and have a brunch hangout right after. They have trendy cuts like one-shoulder bras, ruched leggings, pastel hues, and even bold patterns. You could totally wear their outfits out and about in casual settings. While their bright colours and form-fitting silhouettes make a bold statement, they might not always be what you want to go for on chill days or errand runs. But if you’re looking to turn heads and make a fashion statement, Xexymix is the right athleisure fit for you.

This is where Lululemon shines effortlessly. Their pieces aren’t just for workouts; they’re made to blend into your lifestyle. I give them a 4.8 for this category for their versatile styles.

She’s classy, she’s sleek, she’s giving minimalist chic. Think neutral tones, sculpted seams, and performance-core aesthetics. You won’t find many bold colourways or daring cuts here. But the tailoring is on point. With their muted tones and elevated designs, it doesn’t scream “gymwear,” which is great if you’re always on the move like me. I wore the Align Tank Top with a long skirt for a lunch out before heading to dance practice once, and I’m in love with the fit of it. From airport outfits to Zoom calls and Sunday brunch, you can wear Lululemon in almost any context. The timelessness means you’ll keep them in your wardrobe for years.

Affordability & variety: Who’s giving you more for less?

Xexymix Lululemon
What I liked
  • Not cheap but budget-friendly for activewear.
  • Huge catalogue.
  • Accessible on Shopee, reducedprices with vouchers.
  • Timeless capsule pieces
  • Premium quality that’s worth the price
What I wished to see
  • Size variety and more comfy pieces for laid-back days.
  • More style ranges and sale promotions.
Leggings Prices (SGD) ~$45–80 ~$120+
Sports Bra Prices (SGD) ~$25–45 ~$70+
Sets Often bundled, frequent sales Rarely bundled
Score (out of 5) 3 4.8

Xexymix is a clear winner when it comes to price-to-style ratio. Leggings start around SGD 45, and you can often snag sets under SGD 80 on Shopee, especially during sales. They also drop frequent new collections, meaning there’s always something new to try without burning a hole in your gym bag.

Their product catalogue includes:

  • Sets, separates, outerwear
  • Studio lines, performance lines, even golfwear and modest wear
  • Matching accessories like socks, hairbands, etc.

Lululemon, on the other hand, we all know it’s pricey. The pieces have fewer variations as well. Their collection starts at SGD 120+ for leggings and SGD 60+ for bras, and rarely offers sales (unless you get to their clearance racks). If you’re building a long-term capsule wardrobe and want investment pieces, I’d say Lululemon is worth the splurge.

Performance in action: My week in both brands

Activity Lululemon Favourite Xexymix Favourite
Pilates Align™ Tank Top Light Support Black Label Signature 360N Leggings
Pickleball Align™ High-Rise Skirt RX Black Label 360N Support Bra Top
Dance Class Enlite Weave-Back Bra High Support Bound Mesh Shorts

Lululemon is unbeatable for calm, indoor workouts and transitional looks (like errands, coffee, etc.). But Xexymix had better breathability and stayed dry longer, perfect for intense movement, especially under the SG sun.

Xexymix vs Lululemon: So, which should you choose?

It’s a clear close fight between the two for me! And that says a lot about Xexymix, considering that I’m quite biased toward Lululemon. When it comes to aesthetic and fit, Xexymix has its fashion-forward designs, flattering silhouettes, and K-style cuts that speak directly to gym baddies and trend-conscious shoppers. If your activewear needs to slay both in and out of class, this is the vibe. But when it comes to fabric technology and longevity, Lululemon remains the gold standard. Its premium materials, like Nulu™ and Everlux™, are made for serious movement and can withstand the test of time and sweat — making it ideal for long-term wearers and high-intensity workouts.

On the budget front, Xexymix shines again with unbeatable prices, frequent promotions, and a huge variety of styles, from modest wear to matchy-matchy sets, perfect for students, trend-switchers, or anyone building their gym wardrobe without blowing the bank. Still, suppose you’re someone who lives in leggings and needs pieces that effortlessly transition from pilates to post-work coffee runs. In that case, Lululemon offers unmatched versatility and lifestyle wearability, making it a dream for minimalists, multitaskers, and capsule wardrobe lovers.

Criteria Winner Best for
Aesthetic & fit Lululemon On-the-go gym girls who always have their calendars booked and are busy!
Fabric tech & longevity Lululemon Serious athletes, long-term wearers, high-sweat girls.
Versatility & everyday wear Lululemon Minimalist queens, work-to-gym multitaskers, capsule wardrobe lovers.
Affordability & variety Xexymix Budget babes, students, trend switchers

At the end of the day, it’s not about which brand is objectively better; it’s about which one suits your lifestyle, sweat level, and aesthetic moodboard. And honestly? In a tropical city like Singapore, there’s room in the drawer for both. If you like to explore other brands, check out these affordable activewear brands you can get on Shopee!
