If you’re strapped for time or cash, online platforms like Carousell and Facebook Marketplace are great options to browse, all from the comfort of your home. From clothing to furniture, these platforms offer a surprising variety, often at a fraction of their original prices!

Tips for a great thrifting session

(Credit: cottonbro studio / Pexels)

Wear something comfortable if you plan to go thrifting, as most thrift stores in Singapore are on the smaller end. By extension, I’d recommend visiting on weekdays to avoid the crowd, as some second-hand stores can get crowded during peak hours on weekends.

Second-hand shops also rarely provide plastic bags for your purchases, so prepare a reusable bag to store your new finds. Pro tip –  if you’re planning to purchase a few pieces, some store owners are open to negotiations. It’s a win-win situation!

Shop sustainably at the best thrift stores in Singapore!
