Anime fans, this one’s worth clearing your weekend for. The Demon Slayer: ‘Kimetsu no Yaiba’ Total Concentration Exhibition is landing in Singapore for the first time, transforming a two-storey, 21,000 sq ft space into an immersive walkthrough of the series’ most iconic moments. Step into detailed recreations from fan-favourite arcs like the Final Selection, the eerie House of Demons and the Mugen Train, complete with atmospheric lighting, life-size displays and original illustrations shipped from Japan. There are plenty of photo-ready zones along the way, and the experience ends with a dedicated official merchandise store stocking exclusive collectables you won’t find anywhere else — perfect for taking a piece of the anime home.

3. Next Idol: Your K-POP Moment

If you’ve ever secretly practised choreography in front of your mirror or wondered what it really feels like to have screaming fans, this exhibition lets you live out your K-POP fantasy in real life. Next Idol: Your K-POP Moment drops you into a futuristic, AI-powered universe where you become the star of your own debut. This hour-long experiential exhibit transports you to 2050, where you’ll learn what it takes to be an idol and restore the K-POP world. You’ll design your own album cover and watch generative AI finish it in real time, receive a customised “fandom fortune” that cheers you on just like a superfan would, and even see a hyper-real AI version of yourself clad in idol-level outfits and stage visuals. As you move through themed zones, your rhythm and energy shape massive 360° projections, and you’ll groove along to interactive choreography with K-POP tracks and light sticks at your side.

4. ART SG 2026

ART SG 2026 takes over Marina Bay Sands for one of the biggest highlights of Singapore Art Week. As Southeast Asia’s leading contemporary art fair, it brings together over 100 galleries from around the world, filling the halls with bold paintings, large-scale installations and thought-provoking works from both established names and emerging artists.

If one of your New Year’s resolutions is to shop more sustainably, Remix by Fleawhere has you sorted. This is an indoor thrift market where you can “switch up your style and make eco-conscious decisions” by browsing racks of fashionable preloved clothing, bags and accessories. You’ll also find upcycled homewares, handmade trinkets and other sustainable creations – all looking for a second life in a new home. Singapore’s annual light art festival returns for its 10th edition, bigger and brighter than ever. Held across the Civic District, Light to Night 2026 is themed “The Power in Us, celebrating how art brings people together. By night, watch historic building facades (like the National Gallery) come alive with stunning light projection displays. Wander through Art X Social Festival Village for street food and live music by local artistes such as Iman Fandi and Charlie Lim. From interactive installations to roving performances and even a paper lantern “Gathering on the Lawn, this festival promises countless “lit” moments for your Instagram and a magical night out in the city.

7. Neural Echoes: Enter The Sleep Lab (Immersive Escape Room)

In this interactive 50-minute experience, you and your friends are “test subjects” investigating a futuristic sleep tech company, SomniTech, where participants have mysteriously never woken up. Fans of the popular local otome game Love and Deepspace, this one’s for you! Solace Studios is hosting a limited-time Love and Deepspace x Solace Studios pop-up where you can literally step into the game. At their Haji Lane flagship, find four immersive photo booth rooms – each themed around one of the game’s dreamy love interests (Xavier, Rafayel, Zayne, Sylus, and Caleb). Snap away and pose with exclusive themed frames and backdrops that recreate iconic scenes from the game. You’ll get two photo strips for $10, complete with special in-game artwork borders as a keepsake. Whether you’re Team Zayne or swoon for Sylus, it’s a fun way to bring your virtual romance into the real world – and score some cute prints for memory’s sake.

9. Park Bench Deli Pop-Up @ The Pantry

Beloved sandwich joint Park Bench Deli (PBD) is back – sort of! After closing its shop in 2023, PBD is making a comeback with a limited-time pop-up at Dempsey Hill. From the 10th of January onward, you can once again sink your teeth into their legendary American-style sandwiches. Swing by in the morning for the OG PBD Big Breakfast and sausage-egg muffins, or after 11am for fan-favourites like the Pastrami Reuben (piled high with juicy beef, provolone and slaw) and the Southern-style Fried Chicken sandwich. On weekend evenings, the kitchen switches to PBD’s sister concept Rosita’s Deluxe, slinging smashed double-stack cheeseburgers to satisfy your supper cravings. With craft cocktails and even smoothies on the menu, this pop-up is the brunch-and-burger event of the year – don’t miss it.

10. Pokémon Day-to-Night Adventure Presented by Singapore Cable Car

All aboard the Pokémon Day-to-Night Adventure Presented by Singapore Cable Car! The Singapore Cable Car has been decked out in five different Pokémon themes for the holiday season, turning your ride between Mount Faber and Sentosa into a sky-high Poké-journey. By day, hop into cabins adorned with fan favourites like Pikachu, Eevee and Charmander – each ticket even comes with a complimentary Pikachu sun visor, so you can look the part while gazing at the views. After dark (from 7:45pm onwards), the adventure gets even cooler: you’ll receive a special UV flashlight when boarding, which reveals hidden glow-in-the-dark Pokémon patterns on the cabin walls and ceiling! It’s like a mini scavenger hunt in the sky. Back on solid ground, make sure to snap photos with the Pokémon decor at Mount Faber Station – life-size standees and a Pokéball backdrop await. And of course, there’s exclusive merch to collect: glow-in-the-dark Pokémon T-shirts, trading cards, and DIY keychain kits at the gift shop (great for Christmas gifts for the Poké-obsessed).

13. Trace Lion Dance Heritage at Tradition in Motion Exhibition

We’re not lion – this exhibition is a roaring good time. “Tradition in Motion: Singapore’s Lion Dance Heritage” at the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC) is a vibrant showcase exploring the history and evolution of lion dance in Singapore. You’ll see over 50 artefacts on display – from rare antique lion heads (ever seen a Qing-era Fujian Green Lion?) to vintage photographs, costumes and trophies from local lion dance troupes. Learn about different lion dance styles practiced by Singapore’s various Chinese dialect groups and how this centuries-old art has adapted to modern times. With colourful exhibits and even a partially-built lion head on show (highlighting the craft of our last local lion head maker), it’s an eye-opening dive into a beloved cultural tradition.

14. Skullpanda Cage: Uncage Showcase

Fans of Pop Mart collectables, this one’s for you. The Skullpanda Cage-Uncage Showcase is an immersive exhibition that lets you step into the surreal world of Skullpanda, one of Pop Mart’s most iconic characters. Making its international debut in Singapore, the showcase takes over multiple galleries in the National Museum with six themed, interactive zones designed to delight both hardcore collectors and casual visitors. Explore rooms that bring Skullpanda’s story to life, complete with exclusive Singapore-only installations. After you’ve snapped photos with the art, head to the pop-up merch store where limited-edition Skullpanda goodies await – but note, only ticket holders can shop!

15. Brewing Nostalgia: Kopitiam Photo Exhibition

Travel back in time over a cup of kopi at Brewing Nostalgia, a regional photo showcase celebrating old-school kopitiams (coffee shops) across Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. Held at the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre, this exhibition features 24 evocative black-and-white photographs by award-winning photographer Lester V. Ledesma. From Tanglin Halt’s humble Peking Room coffeeshop to Penang’s iconic Kek Seng and a charming café in Bangkok, the images offer an intimate glimpse into the shared rituals and warm ambience of vintage kopitiam culture. As you wander through the gallery, you’ll sense the same aroma of nostalgia wafting from each scene – uncles sipping kopi-O, butter melting on kaya toast – revealing how these three countries are united by comforting, yet distinct, coffee traditions. The exhibition also marks 60 years of diplomatic ties between the nations, making it a meaningful tribute to regional friendship through the lens of beloved coffee haunts.
