Taking the ferry to Bandar Bentan Telani (BBT) Ferry Terminal is the most preferred method to visit Bintan due to the short travelling time of an hour. As of 1 Jan 2025, round trips under the Economy tier cost $88 and $76 for adults and children, respectively. For a more comfortable travelling experience with complimentary drinks and on-board Internet connection, Emerald-tier tickets are also available from $74.
The ferry schedule runs daily with extra services on weekends and public holidays, so travelling to Bintan is hassle-free (as long as you book your tickets early)! Most Bintan resorts provide complimentary shuttle services to and from the BBT Ferry Terminal, so check with your resort in advance.
To reach Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal, take a $5 shuttle from Changi Airport or SBS Bus 35.
If you’re unlucky and the tickets to BBT Ferry Terminal are sold out, don’t fret, as you can still purchase tickets to the Tanjung Pinang Ferry Terminal! Likewise, ferries depart from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal, however, the travelling time will be slightly longer and totals around 2 hours. Sindo Ferry ticket prices start from $43 for both adults and children, exclusive of the $10 departure fee and RP20,000 confirmation fee per person, which needs to be paid in cash.
