Daytime Parties Singapore

Imagine a DJ spinning your favourite beats at 3pm, sunlight streaming in, and a cup of iced coffee in your hand instead of a cocktail. It might sound dreamy, but it’s real. Day parties in Singapore are on the rise, giving you the chance to dance, mingle, and soak in the vibes long before the sun sets. These day raves flip the script on traditional clubbing – they start in the afternoon and wrap up around 10pm, so you can party hard and still catch the MRT home.

Why is daytime clubbing becoming more popular?

One big draw of the day party scene is how budget-friendly and healthy it feels. Say goodbye to $20 cocktails and brutal 3am cab surges – a daytime event ticket often costs around S$15 – $25 (a good S$20 cheaper than a typical club cover charge). Many of these parties forego alcohol altogether, serving up matcha shots or artisan coffee in place of booze. The result? No hangovers, no headaches – just pure vibes. It’s no wonder Gen Zs and millennials are hopping on this trend; why nurse a Sunday morning hangover when you could be hitting the gym or brunch after an awesome afternoon on the dance floor?

Another reason daytime clubbing is taking off is the inclusive, creative atmosphere. These events can happen anywhere – a hip cafe, a rooftop garden, a gym studio, or even a barbershop turned dance floor. Some organisers even infuse wellness activities like yoga or HIIT workouts into the mix, or make their parties family-friendly with kid- and pet-friendly venues.

1. Exposure Therapy: Pioneers of the matcha rave movement

Exposure Therapy pioneered Singapore’s “matcha rave” scene. Instead of Jägerbombs, expect a caffeine kick – they partner with local matcha brands (like HABIT and Gotcha Matcha) to fuel their afternoon dance parties with energising tea. Don’t be surprised to find a wellness twist too: past events have featured pilates and yoga sessions alongside the DJ sets. The vibe is high-energy yet wholesome – you’ll be raving with matcha or alcohol-free beers in hand, surrounded by fellow partygoers who love to let loose minus the hangover.

Fun fact: Exposure Therapy even nabbed local comedy icon Kumar to perform at one of their events, showing that you can laugh and dance your weekend away in the daytime.

Admission: $22 (Individual), $91 (Group of 5)

2. Beans & Beats: Coffee Party Singapore Experience

Beans & Beats brings “coffee clubbing” to life, serving speciality brews instead of booze at its daytime parties. This collective’s events (often held from 2pm – 7pm) have become wildly popular – attendance has shot up by ~35% in the past year, with their one-year anniversary party selling out entirely. The concept is simple but novel: you groove to afro beats, amapiano, and house music with a cup of cold brew or latte in hand. The afternoon setting – sometimes in trendy spaces like rooftop pools or indie cafes – means natural light, chill seating areas, and a relaxed come-as-you-are dress code.

Beans & Beats even took their coffee party concept abroad (spinning tunes in Jakarta), and they’ve innovated late-night sober events too – like a “supper club” at 24-hour eateries where you can dance past midnight minus the alcohol. In short, if you want a day party in Singapore that’s equal parts caffeine and beats, Beans & Beats has you covered.

Admission: Free for the month of December 2025
Date: Every saturday
Time: Typically 2pm – 6pm

3. Better Say Yess: Quirky themes and wellness raves

Better Say Yess mixes things up with creative party themes and venues. They’ve thrown family-friendly daytime raves under the concept RAVE4LYF – imagine dancing with friends, parents, and even kids at a brunch spot or a barber shop! Yes, they turned Joo Chiat’s Sultans of Shave barbershop into a mini club one afternoon, complete with local DJs and coffee to boot (you could even get a discounted grooming session between dance breaks!). Health and fitness are also on the agenda: one of their events kicked off with a HIIT workout before transitioning into a dance social with healthy bites.

Of course, Better Say Yess doesn’t shy away from a little alcohol – they recently launched WINE&HOUSE, a daytime house music party paired with wine tasting in collaboration with BoundbyWine. Whether it’s a sober morning rave or an afternoon boogie with a wine glass in hand, Better Say Yess proves you can party in daylight and try something new each time.

Admission: $20 (Early bird tickets)
Date: 14 December 2025
Time: 1pm – 8pm

4. Ice Cream Sundays: Massive open-air day raves

Ice Cream Sundays brings festival vibes on Sunday afternoons, often in open-air venues that let you dance under blue skies. They’ve been around since 2016 and grew from humble beginnings (think 60 people at a picnic) to selling 1,200 tickets for a single event! Their name isn’t just for show; back in the early days, they really did serve ice cream at parties, adding a sweet touch to the dance experience. Music-wise, you’ll hear a feel-good mix of disco, soulful house, and funky grooves that get everyone from casual toe-tappers to hardcore dance lovers moving.

Haw Par Villa has been a signature venue for them – there’s nothing like grooving next to surreal dragon statues and murals! In fact, one of their biggest bashes, Haw Par Thrilla, was an all-out daytime rave that ended with the crowd drenched in sweat by 10pm. The crowd at Ice Cream Sundays events is super diverse and inclusive; you’ll see families with kids (under-12s enter free at some events) and older folks alongside the young party crowd.

5. C-MOMENT: Daytime clubbing in a cyberpunk café

C-MOMENT is a café by day that regularly transforms into a mini-club during its opening hours (usually 11am – 8.30pm only). Tucked away in Chinatown, this themed café-bar offers sober-friendly rave sessions on weekends, complete with funky neon lights and cyberpunk-meets-Mando-pop aesthetics. Instead of the usual booze, C-MOMENT serves up alcohol-free beers, creative coffee-based drinks and teas – so you can sip an iced Americano or zero-alcohol brew while a DJ spins house music and Mandopop remixes in the background.

Best part? Many of their DJ sessions are free entry, since they happen during normal cafe hours.  Occasionally, C-MOMENT hosts ticketed themed parties (for example, a Halloween daytime rave with dress-up encouraged, tickets around $25 and includes a drink). The space is cosy, so it feels more like an inclusive gathering of friends than a massive rave – great if you prefer a more intimate daytime hangout.

6. SoulSet: R&B hits and laid-back grooves

SoulSet is the go-to day party for lovers of old-school R&B and soul. If the thought of jamming to early 2000s Usher or Destiny’s Child at 5pm sounds like your idea of fun, SoulSet has you covered. Run by the team behind popular themed club nights (they’ve done throwback retro nights and Mandopop parties in the past), SoulSet was created to bring those smooth vibes into the daytime. Their events tend to be 18+ (so yes, ID checks at the door) and they keep some standard club rules, but the crowd and ambience are more laid-back than your typical nightclub. You’ll often find cool collabs at SoulSet parties – their recent jam featured matcha drinks from a local boutique and bites from an indie food stall, blending music with foodie culture.

With a rotation of DJs and maybe an emcee hyping up the crowd, these sessions are all about feeling the music rather than going wild. It’s perfect for those who want a daytime clubbing experience that’s chill, nostalgic, and full of feel-good singalong moments (without needing a recovery day after).

7. Small Intimate Parties (SIPs): Cosy rooftop beats

(Credit: whensiphappens / Instagram)

Small Intimate Parties (SIPs), true to their name, host cosy gatherings for folks who prefer something a little more low-key than a massive rave. Often, they’ll take over a rooftop bar or terrace for a brunch-time party, complete with house music, brunch bites and of course, drinks (coffee brews, cocktails, or wine – your pick). It feels like a chill house party elevated with a DJ and a view. The crowd is usually smaller (hence more intimate), which means you can actually move around, chat with friends, and not feel like you’re lost in a festival sea.

Regular SIPs DJs – like Aks, LTLX and Khai – spin groovy house and downtempo tracks that set a relaxed, sunny mood. You might even catch them collaborating at other-day events, as they’ve become known for curating vibes at collabs and pop-ups.

8. 5210pm (Five-Ten PM): Early evenings with festival vibes

(Credit: fivetotenpm / Instagram)

5210pm (pronounced “five to ten pm”) is all about partying without messing up your sleep schedule. They run a regular event series called Sunday Mess, roughly every quarter, that – as the name hints – usually kicks off around 5pm and ends by 10pm. The concept: you get a well-rounded mini-festival experience in just a few hours. Case in point – for their recent 2nd anniversary, they turned a Dempsey Hill venue into a playground with not just a DJ pumping out house tunes, but also art and craft stations (they even had an airbrush tattoo/souvenir booth!) for when you need a dance break. The party flowed from laid-back daylight to a more electrifying vibe after sunset, though never so late that you can’t get home.

Some attendees even bring their kids along for an early-evening family dance outing – something you’d never see at a normal nightclub. As one of the founders put it, day parties create “a lot more possibilities of what a party space can be”. From dark, smoky basement bars to outdoor garden venues, 5210pm has tried it all.

9. Positive Spaced: Platform for new DJs and budget beats

(Credit: positivespaced / Instagram)

Positive Spaced is a daytime party with a purpose – it focuses on uplifting the local music scene by pairing emerging DJs with seasoned pros for each event. Think of it as a mini music festival where the lineup includes fresh talent mentored by veterans, all playing in a supportive environment. These parties typically take place in the afternoon, and tickets are very affordable (one recent gig was just $10 entry, with super cheap drink options too).

Music-wise, Positive Spaced events are a treat for adventurous music lovers – you could start the day bobbing to UK Garage beats, transition into punchy techno, and end with some funky Baile Funk rhythms, all in one session. The crowd here is laid-back and open-minded, coming to discover new sounds and cheer on up-and-coming local DJs. Psst, you can say you heard the next big DJ before they got famous!

What do you wear to a daytime party?

daytime clubbing outfit ideas

The day party scene is pretty chill about attire – there’s no strict door policy like some nightclubs. The goal is to feel good and express yourself. If it’s your first daytime party, here are a few tips to help you decide what to wear.

  • Light, breathable outfits: Opt for airy fabrics like cotton, linen, or dry-fit that won’t weigh you down. T-shirts, crop tops, casual shirts or sundresses are great.
  • Comfortable bottoms: Choose shorts, jeans, or flowy skirts you can move in easily. Jumpsuits or rompers are also fun choices.
  • Comfy footwear: Ditch the stilettos and dress shoes. Sneakers, casual boots, or sandals (preferably with good support) are ideal.
