Singapore is a tiny island nation but you can’t deny that it packs a mighty punch when it comes to stunning aesthetics. From futuristic skylines to lush gardens, this city-state is a dream for travel enthusiasts who want to get pics for the gram. Of course, you’ll have your cliche Merlion spot, but if you want something different for your audience, here are some spots I highly recommend to get a few snaps in. Let’s dive into some of the most Instagrammable spots Singapore has to offer.
1. Jewel Changi – Canopy Park
Jewel Changi is a classic tourist spot to take pictures in. Of course, it has a magnificent view with the famous Rain Vortex, accompanied by the perfect natural lighting. The usual photoshoot hotspots can get a bit crowded with tourists, but you can get an amazing shot from the top L5 floor if you enter through Canopy Park! We ended up in this photo spot because we bought tickets for the Sky Nets, which is another fun place to take photos in if you’re daring and not afraid of heights! Just pick the right time to go and don’t choose the timeslots before, during, or after noon time when the sun is at its peak.
Besides the Sky Net, there are tons of other attractions on the floor that are great for your Instagram feed. I highly recommend the spot by the Discovery Slides area at around 3-4pm for that golden hour lighting and reflection.
Location: Jewel Changi Airport, Airport Blvd., Level 5 78, Singapore 819666
Canopy Park Opening Hours
- Monday – Thursday: 10am – 10pm
- Friday – Sunday and Public Holidays: 10am – 11pm
2. Marina Bay Sands Walkway
The Marina Bay Sands Walkway offers stunning views of the city skyline, especially at night. But I’d argue and say that it’s best during late afternoons! The lighting outdoors in this area is perfect. It’s not too bright and not gloomy. The best part is that it’s not too hot since it is by the baywalk area. I’d say this is the best spot even for film camera shoots.
Location: 10 Bayfront Avenue, Event Plaza Marina Bay Sands, S(018972)
3. Marina Bay Sands Apple Store
Another underrated photo spot would be the floating Marina Bay Apple Store. It has a lot of interior mirror fixtures that are fun to take mirror selfies with. The pictures I have here are not the best but you get the idea and the potential. I know some of you can make it work! My personal favourite is the escalator going down to the basement connecting to The Shoppes. It’s a great top perspective for a mirror selfie!

Apple Marina Bay Sands Opening Hours: Monday – Sunday 10am -10pm
4. ArtScience Museum – teamLab Future World
For those who love a bit of futuristic art, the ArtScience Museum is a must-visit. The teamLab exhibits are truly mind-blowing. I’ve been to the teamLab exhibit in Tokyo before this and initially, I didn’t have much expectations for this one. BUT, it was worth it. Future World puts the “active” in “interactive” more than teamLab PLANETS. This teamLab exhibit also has the similar Crystal Universe installation but it’s smaller compared to the one in Tokyo. Although, it is much easier to take your photo-op in this one.
My favourite has to be the Aerial Climbing space. This area has horizontal bars of different colours suspended by ropes. You can cross the area using these bars but the challenge is the added dimension of lighting. It is designed to make it three-dimensional as if you’re really floating through space (I would not recommend this for people who are afraid of heights and have vertigo). Each bar you step on produces light and sound and it was a very whimsical experience for me. What I absolutely love about this installation is that the artwork projected is being rendered real-time. Each interaction with the installation produces different colours and lighting that cannot be replicated again. Every photo you take here will be a unique one!
Another great spot for a dreamy instagram photo is the Flowers and People, Cannot be Controlled but Live Together – Transcending Boundaries, A Whole Year per Hour installation. The light projection interacts with the way you walk, stand, and touch the wall so you can direct the way you want your photo to look within the space. It’s a great way to immerse yourself in interactive digital art installations that will transport you to another world. This is perfect for those trippy, otherworldly Instagram stories.

5. Universal Studios SG – Hollywood and New York Area
Universal Studios Singapore is a classic theme park with areas made for photo ops. Besides the rides and other attractions, the New York area by the Sesame Street rides has great background and lighting. The red brick walls give the classic NY streets vibe while the palm trees by Hollywood area perfectly emulate southern California.
Of course, a theme park shoot is never complete without its specialty food and snacks! My personal favourite is this Cookie Monster Ice Cream that looks aesthetically pleasing on camera when you get the right lighting. And yes, it does taste as good as it looks.
Location: Resorts World Sentosa, 8 Sentosa Gateway, S(098269)
Universal Studios Singapore Opening Hours: Monday – Sunday, 10am-8pm
6. Skyline Luge
I think by now you can tell that my friends and I are all adrenaline junkies. So if you’re one of us I highly recommend Skyline Luge in Singapore! We didn’t get to take many nice photos during the night because we went during a hazy afternoon which made the pics blurry.
I highly recommend going during the night rides where all the colourful lights are on the track. We didn’t bring out our phones during the ride for safety reasons but there are cameras around the track and the ski lift area to take your photos.
Location: 1 Imbiah Road, S(099692)
Skyline Luge Opening Hours
- Sunday – Thursday: 10am – 7:30pm
- Friday – Saturday: 10am – 9pm
7. Singapore Indoor Stadium
Lastly, for all my fellow concert-goers, this area in the Singapore Indoor Stadium is perfect for your concert fit pics! We went a bit earlier to catch the afternoon sun. It wasn’t crowded during this time too so it’s fairly easy to get a nice photo for the IG concert dump.
Location: 2 Stadium Walk, Singapore 397691

There are more spots I wish I could share and have pinned on my Google Maps. But I will have to find time to explore more of these. I hope this blog post has inspired you to explore the vibrant and picturesque city of Singapore! The best photos are captured when you’re having fun and immersing yourself in the present time and space. Dress up in your best fit, grab your camera, and get ready for an unforgettable adventure to share on your feed! (Or keep those precious moments to yourself~).
