But with a campus that covers a whopping 490 acres of land, where exactly can you find the best photo spot? 34. NTU The Hive

The Hive is fondly known as the dim-sum basket building among NTU students and it’s easy to see how it got its nickname. 35. Former House of Tan Teng Niah

Gardens by the Bay is undoubtedly one of the most popular attractions in Singapore. But before you hurry your way to join the queue at the Cloud Forest or Flower Dome, drop by the Victoria Lily Pond for one of the best photo spots in the area! 37. Old Hill Street Police Station

The Old Hill Street Police Station is unmissable if you’re chilling around the Clarke Quay area. But the building wasn’t all so cheery back in the day. It was first first constructed in the 1930s, as a six-storey police station and barracks to  house more than 1,000 policemen and their families. Today, the 927 louvred windows are decked out in an array of colours to celebrate our vibrant history and also inject a sense of fun and liveliness to Hill Street! It also houses the Ministry of Communications and Information as well as the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth. This is a scene ought to be captured by any architecture photographers and will also look great on any Instagram feed!

38. Labrador Nature Reserve’s Berlayer Beacon

Lighthouses are not a common sight in Singapore. Which is why the Berlayer Beacon, also known as the Berlayer Point Lighthouse, is one of the few hidden Instagram-worthy places in Singapore you’ve got to visit! This brick-red lighthouse stands at a height of seven metres and acts as a navigation guide for ships that pass through the channel between Labrador and Sentosa. Cafe-hopping with your friends in Joo Chiat? Take a short walk over to East Coast Road and you’ll find yourself face to face with this fire-engine-red building! Known aptly as The Red House or The Red House Bakery, this building once housed the Katong Bakery and Confectionery. Today, it’s home to the Micro Bakery & Kitchen cafe which boasts a clean white interior with retro tiled flooring that’s oh-so-Instagrammable! Be it now or then, The Red House is still a go-to place for breakfast gatherings with friends and family. For an artistic shot that will earn you some likes, we suggest using the selective colourisation effect. Simply desaturate the entire photos but keep The Red House colourised.

What’s so special about a park in Sengkang, you may ask. But the Sengkang Sculpture Park is unlike any other parks in Singapore. Instead of filling the park with trees and plants, this recreational spot is decorated with marine themed sculptures. HDBs are a familiar sight for Singaporeans but we often fail to appreciate their designs and aesthetic contributions to our urban landscape. However, if you slow down and observe these residential buildings, you may find that many of them have pleasing symmetry and unique patterns. One of the HDB custers to pay attention to is block 497A to 497K nestled in Tampines Street 45. This is about as close as you can get if you want to replicate the famous Hong Kong Yip Cheong Building and Choi Hung Estate Instagram vibes as the adjacent HDB blocks towers over the basketball court in the middle. We would definitely put this photo spot on the top of our list for places to take photos in Singapore!
