This beloved local pub is now one of the best sports bars in Singapore to watch the Premier League! Al Capone’s screens EPL matches, and they even have a dedicated community of football fans to help you cheer on your favourite team. So grab your buddies and start the season right by catching live screenings of your favourite sport!

This sports bar is also super affordable due to the owner’s commitment to keeping prices low, so it’s great for large groups of friends and family. For starters, get the 3-Litre Beer Tower ($39) to get everyone in the mood! If you need a mid-game refreshment, get The Al Capone’s Platter ($47) and munch on a variety of finger foods (including their signature Mafia wings) alongside tantalising dips as you fuel up for the game ahead.

2. BQ Bar

BQ Bar is the ultimate place to watch the Premier League in Singapore. What’s even better is that the fun doesn’t stop with football! Sports fans will be glad to know that this sports bar in Singapore also streams the American Football League (AFL) and F1 races, among other sports! When there aren’t matches going on, you can count on the live bands and in-house DJs to build the ambience.

What I love most about this sports bar is its weekly promotions that include 1-for-1 burgers and Ladies’ Night, making it great for a midweek pick-me-up. BQ Bar also offers a huge selection of crafted cocktails to sip on as you spectate your favourite matches. Order a Drink Drank Drunk ($40) for a great deal of six shots. It’s a great way to prep for a game day experience that’s sure to keep you hyped up for that last-minute gooooooooal!

Address: 39 Boat Quay, S(049828)
Operating hours:
Mon, Tue, Thu: 11am – 1am
Wed, Fri: 11am – 2am
Sat – Sun: 12pm – 2am

3. Charlie’s Restaurant & Bar

The ambience at a sports bar makes all the difference between watching a match there and staying home instead. So, you’ll be pleased to know that Charlie’s Restaurant & Bar has it all when it comes to creating that perfect game-day atmosphere! From Charlie’s Signature Baby Back Ribs ($38) to Vegetarian Tapas, you’ll have a gastronomic matchday with their extensive menu. To top it off, Charlie’s has a beverage for any occasion, whether it’s a good ol’ beer or a glass of sparkling wine.

With massive screens for you to catch every bit of that live football, rugby, or F1 race, Charlie’s is Boat Quay is one of the best sports bars in Singapore if you hate squinting at small screens like I do. They also post their scheduled screenings in advance, so keep a lookout for announcements on their social media platforms.

Address: 32 Boat Quay, S(049821)
Operating hours:
Sun – Thu: 11am – 12am
Fri – Sat: 11am – 2am

4. The Penny Black

The Penny Black is one of my go-to sports bars when I’m looking to catch up on the latest matches at a bar that’s out of the norm! Fans of London pubs will enjoy this one for the intricate interior that’s found in a traditional Victorian pub. As we enter the season of competitive sports, expect to enjoy live screenings of various EPL, F1 and Rugby matches.

In this sports bar, choose from a selection of dishes that are either uniquely Asian or classic pub favourites, such as Fish Head Curry ($14) or the Bangers N’ Mash ($23)! To go alongside your main dish, choose from seven international beers to quench your thirst. I’d recommend the Old Speckled Hen as The Penny Black is one of the few sports bars in Singapore that offer this English ale. For the interior and vibes alone, I’d say that this is one of my top picks!

Address: 26/27 Boat Quay, S(049817)
Operating hours:
Mon: 3pm – 12am
Tue – Fri: 11.30am – 12am
Sat – Sun: 12pm – 12am

5. Muddy Murphy’s

It can be tough to secure a spot to watch the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in Singapore, but this award-winning Irish pub is one of the best places to catch these matches. Head on down to Muddy Murphy’s to catch up with old friends over a glass of beer. Or, make new ones as you bond over cheering for your favourite fighters. If UFC isn’t your cup of tea, Muddy Murphy’s also screens live football matches, so there’s something for everyone.

As the parent company of The Penny Black, fans of one are likely to enjoy the other as they have similarly gorgeous interiors, and both boast chill vibes. The owner of this sports bar in Singapore also has extensive experience as a sous chef, so you’re in good hands! For your pre-game meal, I’d recommend the Beef Tenderloin Steak ($28) that’s seared to perfection and infused with rich flavour. If the spectating atmosphere is a dealbreaker for you, this is one of the best sports bars in Singapore to visit for your next gameday.

Address: Claymore Connect, 442 Orchard Road, #01-02 to 05, S(238879)
Operating hours:
Mon – Tue: 3pm – 12am
Wed – Sun: 12pm – 12am

6. Dallas Restaurant & Bar

If you’re thinking of supporting your favourite AFL team in their upcoming match and are looking for a sports bar that has a relaxed vibe, Dallas Cafe & Bar may just be the one! With outlets in Boat Quay and Marina Sands, this sports bar panders to many fans with the variety of sports networks that they screen! As one of the best sports bars in Singapore, it also scores big points in the food component. I’d go for the house speciality – the chargrilled Prime Rib Steak ($44) that’s paired with smoked wild mushrooms (which I love). If you’re planning to head down for a drink after work, check out their daily deals where you can get a main dish and beer for just $22++. Now that’s what I call a steal!

Boat Quay
Address: 31 Boat Quay, S(049820)

Marina Bay Sands
Address: The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, 2 Bayfront Avenue, #01-85, S(018972)

7. Boomarang Bistro & Bar

Every visit to Boomarang Bistro & Bar is guaranteed to be a great time due to their commitment to great service and amazing food. If you don’t like what’s being screened, feel free to reach out to the management via their social media platforms to provide your requests! There are a total of nine screens across the bar, so your matches will surely be visible regardless of where you’re seated. For early risers, Boomerang opens its doors at 6am – perfect for enjoying a hearty breakfast while catching an early morning match that’s equally exciting as a late-night one!

As a cornerstone of Singapore’s sports scene, this sports bar is also perfect for Australians who crave a taste of home while in Singapore. It’s also great for locals who want to experience Australian hospitality and bar culture. Regardless of your nationality, this is one of the best sports bars in Singapore to cheer on your favourite teams and celebrate their wins!

Address: The Quayside, 60 Robertson Quay, #01-15, S(238252)
Operating hours: Daily, 6am – 3am

8. Harry’s

Harry’s is probably one of the most popular sports bars in Singapore for watching live football, as they regularly screen the EPL. Don’t overeat during dinner, and make sure to save some space for finger food to munch on as you watch the game. From their selection of bar bites, I’d recommend the Amigo Nachos ($19) and the Harry’s Spiced Fries ($13). After all, you’ll need energy to last through the match.

What’s more, Harry’s has 20 locations across Singapore, making them one of the best sports bars in Singapore to catch a game at during the weekend! They also host home clubs in some of their branches, so you can head to their Cuppage branch to cheer with other Blue Lions (Chelsea), or to Clarke Quay if you’re part of The Reds (Liverpool). Come dressed for the occasion in your team’s jersey at these venues to enjoy Heineken pints at a discounted price!

Address: 28 Boat Quay, S(049818)
Check out their other outlets here
Operating hours:
Mon – Thu: 11.30am – 12am
Fri – Sun: 11.30am – 1am

Visit their website for more information, as opening hours vary between outlets. Some branches are open 24 hours!

9. Brewerkz

Another frontrunner on our list is Brewerkz, the perfect venue if you’re looking for a sports bar in the East. As someone particular about ambience, I was impressed by the loud and happy cheers of bar patrons coupled with the scenic seaside views at their East Coast Park outlet.

As a three-time country champion brewery, you’ll be spoilt for choice with the great selection of wine and liquor that Brewerkz offers. Choose between various brews based on your mood for the day. Either way, you name it, they have it! My picks are the Lychee Amber Lager ($15) if you’re craving something sweet or the Bohemian Pilsner ($15) for something malty and smooth. If you’re indecisive like I am, get the Beer Sampler ($24) – a four-set of their award-winning craft beers. Offering such a great experience, it’s no wonder that this is one of the best sports bars for fans to cheer on their favourite teams.

Address: 920 East Coast Parkway, #01-20/24, S(449875)
Check out their other outlets here
Operating hours:
Tue – Fri: 12pm – 11pm
Sat – Sun: 10am – 11pm

Visit their website for more information, as opening hours vary between outlets.

10. Hannibal

(Credit: hannibalsingapore / Instagram)

There’s something nostalgic about having everyone gathered around a large screen and cheering on the same team – that’s the kind of atmosphere you can expect at Hannibal. As you enter this sports bar, you’ll notice huge projector screens which screen both football and UFC matches. Gear up for an exciting match!

As you spectate, choose from a wide selection of European gourmet delights and palatable finger foods. Visiting with friends? Get the Cold Cuts Platter ($28) or the Hannibal Pizza ($28) for a delicious meal. After all, you’ll need ample energy to sustain yourself throughout these entertaining matches! If you enjoy the kampung spirit of watching sports matches together, this is one of the best sports bars in Singapore to do so at!

Address: 80 Mohamed Sultan Road, #01-03/04, S(239013)
Operating hours: Daily, 4.30pm – 10pm

11. Lion Brewery Co.

This sports bar in Singapore prides itself on its quality pours and the memories it creates for bar patrons. They also know how to keep things interesting with weekly events such as one where free-flow beers are served for an hour (or until someone visits the loo)! For an exciting spectator experience, this may be one of the best sports bars in Singapore, thanks to its impressive capacity. Housing up to 350 pax, you’re bound to have a crazy celebration when your team (in one of the many football and rugby matches they stream) wins!

You can’t go wrong with their Nitro Stout ($9.50) that has a roasted malt aroma and low hop bitterness. If it’s not for you, don’t panic just yet. Instead, go for Lion Brewery’s seasonal beers, which may be more up your alley. Otherwise, my go-to is the Two To Mango fruit beer ($8.50) if you’re looking for something refreshing on a sweltering day.

Address: 36 Club Street, S(069469)
Operating hours:
Mon – Thu: 3pm – 11pm
Fri – Sat: 11.30am – 1pm
Sun: 11.30am – 11pm
