Two things I’m gearing up for this weekend: live sports, and a tall glass of ice-cold beer. Singapore’s sports bars have it all and more, with high-definition screens, a lively crowd of sports fans, and a selection of craft beers that flow through the night for a rousing game day! So, whether you’re cheering for your favourite team in the English Premier League (EPL), catching those midnight rugby matches, or gearing up for this year’s Formula One (F1) Singapore Grand Prix, the best sports bars in Singapore promise that unbeatable game-day experience.

1. The Queen’s Pub

(Credit: thequeenspubsg / Instagram)

If you’re looking for a prime spot to catch the Singapore Grand Prix (GP) in October, head over to The Queen’s Pub in Millenia Walk.. Here, you’ll be treated to cold beer and even cooler supercars parked out front! The Queen’s Pub is a buzzing spot for race car enthusiasts, and it’s the designated bar for the McLaren Owners Club (so you might catch a glimpse of Lando if you’re lucky).

Besides F1, the pub also screens live football matches on their large HD screens. So, whether you’re into F1 or EPL, The Queen’s Pub has the drinks and the ambience. Order up some chow, like their signature Scotch Eggs ($20) and The Queen’s Chicken Wings ($20), to kick off the next match, and down it with a tall glass of Guinness for the ultimate game day experience!

Address: Millenia Walk, 9 Raffles Boulevard, S(039596)
Operating hours:
Mon – Fri: 12pm – 1am
Sat: 4pm – 1am
Sun: 3pm – 12am

2. BQ Bar

(Credit: bqbarsingapore / Instagram)

The atmosphere at BQ Bar features a more relaxed vibe, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a great place to watch live sports in Singapore! They screen everything from the Premier League and the American Football League (AFL), to The Rugby Championship, and even F1 races. When there aren’t matches going on, you can count on the live bands and in-house DJs to build the ambience.

Besides, it’s one of the few sports bars in Singapore that has Ladies’ Nights on Wednesdays, making it great for a midweek pick-me-up for us girlies. BQ Bar also offers a huge selection of crafted cocktails to sip on as you spectate your favourite matches. Order a Drink Drank Drunk ($40) for a great deal of six shots, and treat yourself to a platter of Four Cheese Wantons ($14) to keep you hyped up for the upcoming F1 Singapore GP!

Address: 39 Boat Quay, S(049828)
Operating hours:
Mon, Tue, Thu: 11am – 1am
Wed, Fri: 11am – 2am
Sat – Sun: 12pm – 2am

3. Harry’s

best sports bars singapore - harry's
(Credit: harryssingapore / Instagram)

Harry’s is probably one of the most popular sports bars in Singapore for watching live football, as they regularly screen live football, cricket, and rugby matches. They’ve got a wide selection of scrumptious bar snacks to choose from, which pair perfectly with a pint of ice-cold beer! I recommend the Amigo Nachos ($19) and the Harry’s Spiced Fries ($13) if you’re sharing with friends (or eating solo), and the Roasted Chicken Roulade ($25.07) if you’re looking for a heavier meal. After all, you’ll need energy to last through the match!

What’s more, Harry’s has 20 locations across Singapore, making them one of the best sports bars in Singapore to catch a game during the weekend! They also host home clubs in some of their branches, so you can head to their Cuppage branch to cheer with other Blue Lions (Chelsea), or to Clarke Quay if you’re part of The Reds (Liverpool). Come dressed for the occasion in your team’s jersey at these venues to enjoy Heineken pints at a discounted price!

Address: 28 Boat Quay, S(049818)
Check out their other outlets here
Operating hours:
Mon – Thu: 11.30am – 12am
Fri – Sun: 11.30am – 1am

Visit their website for more information, as opening hours vary between outlets. Some branches are open 24 hours!

4. The Union Bar

If you’re after a true game day vibe, nothing beats the charm of a Midwestern-style sports bar, and The Union Bar delivers just that! Tucked inside The American Club Singapore, it serves up hearty American classics like Vegetarian Corn Fritters ($14) and Classic Buffalo Chicken Wings (from $14), making it a go-to spot for comfort food with a side of sports.

However, you’ll need a membership to wine and dine at The Union Bar, which can make the place feel quite exclusive. Still, if you have a membership (or are lucky enough to tag along with one), it’s one of the best sports bars in Singapore to watch American football, with big screens all around and a crowd that knows how to bring the game-day energy.

Address: 10 Claymore Hill, S(229573)
Operating hours:
Sun – Thu: 12pm – 11pm
Fri – Sat: 12pm – 12am

5. Al Capone’s

best sports bars singapore - al capone
(Credit: alcaponesg / Instagram)

If you’re part of the Al Capone Mafia, you’ll be treated like family at this beloved local pub. Al Capone’s is one of the best sports bars in Singapore to watch the Premier League, complete with flowing drinks, mouthwatering food, and a lively atmosphere that makes for an enjoyable game day experience. Plus, with large screens on almost every wall, you’re bound to catch all of the action!

This sports bar is also super affordable due to the owner’s commitment to keeping prices low, so it’s great for large groups of friends and family. For starters, get the 3-Litre Beer Tower ($39) to get everyone in the mood! If you need a mid-game refreshment, get The Al Capone’s Platter ($47) and munch on a variety of finger foods (including their signature Mafia wings) alongside tantalising dips as you fuel up for the game ahead.

Address: Kallang Wave Mall, 1 Stadium Place, #01-15, S(397628)
Check out their other outlets here
Operating hours: Daily, 11am – 1am

6. Charlie’s Restaurant & Bar

The ambience at a sports bar makes all the difference between watching a match there and staying home instead. So, you’ll be pleased to know that Charlie’s Restaurant & Bar has it all when it comes to creating that perfect game-day atmosphere! From Charlie’s Signature Baby Back Ribs ($38) to Vegetarian Tapas, you’ll have a gastronomic matchday with their extensive menu. To top it off, Charlie’s has a beverage for any occasion, whether it’s a good ol’ beer or a glass of sparkling wine.

With massive screens for you to catch every bit of that live football, rugby, or F1 race, Charlie’s in Boat Quay is one of the best sports bars in Singapore if you hate squinting at small screens like I do. They also post their scheduled screenings in advance, which helps when planning your weekend ahead!

Address: 32 Boat Quay, S(049821)
Operating hours:
Sun – Thu: 11am – 12am
Fri – Sat: 11am – 2am

7. The Penny Black

(Credit: The Penny Black / Facebook)

Head over to London for some proper English Fry Up ($22.47) to go with live screenings of various EPL, F1 and Rugby matches. The Penny Black is one of my go-to sports bars when I’m looking to catch up on the latest live sports matches while munching on some classic Fish ‘n Chips ($27.82), and downing a cold English ale like Old Speckled Hen!

Decked out in traditional English decor, The Penny Black is a Victorian London Pub that screens everything from football to rugby. There are HD screens dotted around the bar – both in their indoor and outdoor areas, so you can sit inside and enjoy a cosy conversation with friends, or enjoy the cooling wind at night outside. Plus, there’s always a lively crowd of fans ready to cheer along with you for your favourite team!

Address: 26/27 Boat Quay, S(049817)
Operating hours:
Mon: 3pm – 12am
Tue – Fri: 11.30am – 12am
Sat – Sun: 12pm – 12am

8. Muddy Murphy’s

best sports bars singapore - muddy murphy's

With the Singapore GP coming up in October, it can be tough to find a prime spot to watch the F1 races. However, Muddy Murphy’s screens live sports, from racing to football, making it one of the best sports bars in Singapore to catch the F1 race weekend! Besides, it doesn’t hurt that this award-winning Irish pub serves up traditional pub fare, like a platter of slow-roasted Traditional Roast Beef ($27) and Shepherd’s Pie ($23).

Just like its sister pub, The Penny Black, Muddy Murphy’s has a chill vibe, so if the usual loud, spectating atmosphere is a dealbreaker for you, this is one of the best places to be in. The owner of this sports bar also has extensive experience as a sous chef, so you’re in good hands!

Address: Claymore Connect, 442 Orchard Road, #01-02 to 05, S(238879)
Operating hours:
Mon – Tue: 3pm – 12am
Wed – Sun: 12pm – 12am

9. Wala Wala Cafe Bar

If you’re a rugby fan, Wala Wala Cafe Bar will feel right at home for you. This sports bar in Singapore screens matches from The Rugby Championship to World Rugby, with multiple screens scattered around the bar. And if you’re not into rugby, there’s still a lot of action to catch at Wala Wala Cafe Bar! The bar also screens matches of Wimbledon, the Emirates FA Cup, and other live sports.

What’s more, their bar chow is something to look forward to on game day. Dishes, like their signature Wala Pork-Strips ($13) and Wala Chicken Sliders ($16) pair well with their assortment of beer and cocktails, so you’ve got everything you need for an unforgettable season at Wala Wala Cafe Bar!

Address: Holland Village, 31 Lorong Mambong, S(277689)
Operating hours:
Mon – Wed: 4pm – 12am
Thu – Sun: 4pm – 1am

10. Dallas Restaurant & Bar

If you’re thinking of supporting your favourite AFL team in their upcoming match and are looking for a sports bar that has a relaxed vibe, Dallas Cafe & Bar may just be the one! With outlets in Boat Quay and Marina Sands, this sports bar panders to many fans with the variety of sports networks that they screen!

And as one of the best sports bars in Singapore, it also scores big points in the food component. I’d go for the house speciality: Char-grilled Prime Rib Steak ($44) that’s paired with smoked wild mushrooms (which I love). If you’re planning to head down for a drink after work, check out their daily deals, where you can get a main dish and beer for just $22++. Now that’s what I call a steal!

Boat Quay
Address: 31 Boat Quay, S(049820)
Opening hours:
Sun – Thu: 11.30am – 12am
Fri – Sat: 11.30am – 1am

11. Boomarang Bistro & Bar

(Credit: boomarangbistro / Instagram)

Every visit to Boomarang Bistro & Bar is guaranteed to be a great time due to their commitment to great service and amazing food. While they offer regular screenings of live football matches in Singapore, they’re also a great place to watch F1 races early in the morning with their delectable spread of breakfast choices. Imagine watching the Italy or Singapore GP over a plate of Steak & Eggs ($37.66) for a great start to your weekend!

As they serve some typical Aussie fare, this sports bar is also perfect for Australians who crave a taste of home while in Singapore. But regardless of your nationality, this is one of the best sports bars in Singapore to cheer on your favourite teams and celebrate their wins (And, if you don’t like what’s being screened, the bar takes requests through their social media pages)!

Address: The Quayside, 60 Robertson Quay, #01-15, S(238252)
Operating hours: Daily, 6am – 3am

12. Brewerkz

best sports bars singapore to watch football - brewerkz
(Credit: brewerkzsg / Instagram)

Another frontrunner on our list is Brewerkz, the perfect venue if you’re looking for a sports bar in the East. As someone particular about ambience, I was impressed by the loud and happy cheers of bar patrons coupled with the scenic seaside views at their East Coast Park outlet.

As a three-time country champion brewery, you’ll be spoilt for choice with the great selection of wine and liquor that Brewerkz offers. Choose between various brews based on your mood for the day. Either way, you name it, they have it! My picks are the Lychee Amber Lager ($15) if you’re craving something sweet or the Bohemian Pilsner ($15) for something malty and smooth. If you’re indecisive like I am, get the Beer Sampler ($24), a four-set flight of their award-winning craft beers. Offering such a great experience, it’s no wonder that this is one of the best sports bars for fans to cheer on their favourite teams.

Address: 920 East Coast Parkway, #01-20/24, S(449875)
Check out their other outlets here
Operating hours:
Tue – Fri: 12pm – 11pm
Sat – Sun: 10am – 11pm

Visit their website for more information, as opening hours vary between outlets.

13. Hannibal

No need to panic about the name – at Hannibal, the only thing you’ll be served is great food while you cheer on your favourite teams. As you enter this sports bar, you’ll notice huge projector screens which screen football, boxing, and UFC matches. Just remember to bring along an empty stomach for all those gastronomical feats!

As you spectate, choose from a wide selection of European gourmet delights and palatable finger foods. Visiting with friends? Get the Cold Cuts Platter ($28) or the Hannibal Pizza ($28) for a delicious meal. After all, you’ll need ample energy to sustain yourself throughout these entertaining matches. If you enjoy the kampung spirit of watching sports matches together, this is one of the best sports bars in Singapore to do so at!

Address: The Pier at Robertson, 80 Mohamed Sultan Road, #01-03/04, S(239013)
Operating hours:
Mon – Thu: 4pm – 1am
Fri – Sat: 12pm – 2am
Sun: 12pm – 1am

14. Lion Brewery Co.

For an exciting spectator experience, this may be one of the best sports bars in Singapore, thanks to its impressive capacity. Housing up to 350 pax, you’re bound to have a crazy celebration when your team (in one of the many football and rugby matches they stream) wins! Lion Brewery Co. prides itself on its quality pours and the memories it creates for bar patrons. They also know how to keep things interesting with weekly events such as one where free-flow beers are served for an hour – or until someone visits the loo!

You can’t go wrong with their Nitro Stout ($9.50), which has a roasted malt aroma and low hop bitterness. If it’s not for you, they still have a ton of options to choose from. Try one of their seasonal beers, which may be more up your alley. Still, it’s their Two To Mango fruit beer ($8.50) that’s a no-fail for me as it’s sweet, fruity, and refreshing for any day of the week!

Address: 36 Club Street, S(069469)
Operating hours:
Mon – Tue: 3pm – 11pm
Wed – Thu, Sun: 12pm – 11pm
Fri – Sat: 12pm – 1am

15. Atmosphere Thai Bistro & Bar

(Credit: Atmosphere Thai Bistro / Facebook)

If you’re anything like me, your little pooch goes with you everywhere. Luckily, Atmosphere Bistro & Bar is a pet-friendly establishment! My dog can sit right by my side while we cheer for our favourite teams. With EPL live matches and the F1 Singapore GP screened on large TVs mounted high around the restaurant, there’s always a clear view of the action, no matter where you’re seated. The energy during match nights makes it a fun spot for both sports fans and their furry companions.

And of course, the food adds to the experience. Get a taste of their fusion Thai dishes like the Tom Yum Chicken Burger ($16.80), a zesty twist on a classic chicken burger with Thai spices, or the Ice Cream Thai Bubble Milk Tea Waffle ($12.80), which is a crowd-pleaser for both kids and adults! So, don’t leave your pup at home, and bring them along and enjoy great food, a lively crowd, and live sports screenings at Atmosphere Bistro & Bar.

Address: 10E Sixth Avenue, #01-01, S(276474)
Operating hours:
Sun – Thu: 11.30am – 11pm
