My sister calls this her “clean girl scent,” and I completely agree! While Elizabeth Arden is better known for scents like Green Tea and Red Door, their White Tea Eau Florale combines the luminous scent of white tea with the floral fragrance of pink orris, freesia, and honeysuckle for a delicate and feminine scent that is definitely clean girl.
As an EDT, it lasted just 2 hours on my skin. However, its sillage is quite light, so it’s a good everyday perfume for when you don’t want to overpower your senses. I typically wear this perfume when I know I’ll only be out for a short while so I won’t need to top it up midday!

Have you ever tried this one? This one’s a perfume for those who love gourmand scents! Sabrina Carpenter released her line of fragrances with sweet, chocolate-y notes, so you know I just had to try them out! Sweet Tooth in Cherry Baby is my favourite so far, with its syrupy-sweet dark cherry notes and hints of dark chocolate amplified by base notes of cashmere wood, patchouli, and musk.
But, what I love most is its bottle! The chocolate bar-shaped bottle is a playful ode to the chocolate-covered cherry notes of the perfume and to Sabrina’s Short N’ Sweet album. In terms of longevity, the perfume lasts about two to four hours on my skin, so it’s definitely not a long-wearing perfume. Still, it might be the Sabrina Carpenter effect, but this is one of the best ladies’ perfumes that made me feel confident, playful, and slightly seductive!

Together with hints of red currant, pink pepper and panna cotta, you get an opulent perfume that’s sure to stand the test of time. It’s also surprisingly long-lasting, with the scent noticeable on my skin even 6 hours after spritzing it on. The sillage, however, is quite light as the pink pepper notes dry down to a more floral finish that is mild but delicate.

I’m obsessed with W.DRESSROOM scents for how fresh and accurate their scents are! The W.DRESSROOM No. 48 in Peach Osmanthus is one of my go-to scents as it has more complex notes than its Peach Blossom scent (No. 49), with a hint of osmanthus flowers once it dries down. It smells less sweet than fruity scents too, so you won’t feel like a candy factory with this perfume on!
I mainly use this as a fabric spray to refresh my clothes and give them a nice scent, but I also put on a spritz or two on days when I’m feeling like a light fragrance. The W.DRESSROOM No. 48 in Peach Osmanthus is one of the top women’s perfumes in my book as its crisp, fruity-floral fragrance leaves a refreshing feel! However, I did notice that the scent doesn’t last long – around 2 hours tops.

Taking inspiration from the floral notes of the original Tiffany’s perfume, the Rose Gold version adds a fruity twist to its scent with a top note of blackcurrant followed by the elegant scent of blue roses. You can’t not feel expensive while wearing this perfume!
What’s more, Tiffany&Co. is known for having a higher concentration of perfume oil in their scents, so you can be sure this long-wearing perfume was made to stay put from day to night. In fact, I wore this to a wedding once, and I could still smell the fruity-floral fragrance after eight hours! And hey guys, this perfume makes a classy Valentine’s Day gift that your girl is sure to love!

I’ll be honest and say that I don’t often go for green, woodsy scents, but this one surprised me. The Hermes Un Jardin Sur Le Toit has a refreshing, green scent that captures the unique scent of an English herb garden. It has notes of basil and grass that give the EDT its fresh scents, and crisp pears and apples for a slightly sweet, fruity sillage.
Even its bottle is refreshingly green! I was surprised to like this perfume as I don’t typically go for herb notes, but the Hermes Un Jardin Sur Le Toit works well when paired with floral fragrances for a unique signature scent. On its own, it’s a great woodsy-green perfume that’s sure to liven up any OOTD! It’s now one of my top perfume recommendations for women who like clean, zesty fragrances.

While I’ve always loved Jo Malone perfumes, their short-lived scents made it difficult for me to get a bottle. This is where their Wild Bluebell fragrance differs as I could still smell it on my skin even after 6 hours!
The Jo Malone Wild Bluebell has a fruity, refreshing scent too. It dries down to reveal floral notes of jasmine and bluebell with a powdery finish. It smells fresh, sophisticated, and feminine. It’s a great scent to wear around the office, to a brunch, or to a girls’ night out that’s sure to win you a ton of compliments!

I can never go out for Korean barbecue without hair perfume to refresh my locks (and get rid of that smoke smell)! The INNISFREE My Perfumed Body & Hair Mist in Black Tea is one of my top perfume recommendations for women as it’s easy to carry around in your purse for a quick touch up, and it smells damn good too.
And don’t worry about your hair. INNISFREE formulated its hair perfume with less alcohol than regular fragrances, so it won’t damage your hair at all! It does a great job removing food and smoke odours from my hair, and gives off a subtle, citrusy scent with a floral note. What’s more, it’s a long-lasting perfume, so your hair will smell like warm black tea from day to night!

12. Best Solid Perfume: Christian Dior Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet Mini Miss Solid Perfume for Women

The Miss Dior eau de parfum is arguably one of the most popular ladies’ perfumes of all time. Dior came out with a solid perfume version in 2024, adding to its luxury perfume line (and to my growing collection). The Christian Dior Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet Mini Miss is an alcohol-free perfume balm that smells just like the iconic Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet perfume, but is easier to carry around in your purse as it’s just as big as a lipstick!
I use this when I’m out and about, applying it on my pulse points when I want to refresh my scent. It’s great for travelling as I can always keep it in my carry-on, and lasts around two to four hours on my skin. The transparent rose wax balm definitely helps moderate the sillage to keep the perfume lasting a couple of hours. The powdery floral fragrance is noticeable too, and Miss Dior always gives me that Blair Waldorf vibe!

This one’s for the girlies who love aquatics! If there’s one profile Issey Miyake does best, it’s aquatic fragrances, and their L’eau D’issey for Women captures the scent of morning dew drops on crisp, green grass and soft florals. I wouldn’t say it’s one of the most complex perfumes I have in my collection, but it’s a cool, refreshing fragrance for spring with its notes of lotus and rose.
One thing I noticed was how this perfume projected in humid climates. The Issey Miyake L’eau D’issey has better sillage in warm weather, and the humidity projects its notes with longer-lasting fragrance. It’s one of the best women’s perfumes for a reason, and it’s perfect for Singapore’s weather!

As its name suggests, this is a sweet floral fruity fragrance that smells just like bubblegum, so it might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s still regarded as one of the best ladies’ perfumes of all time.
With that said, the scent is far from juvenile. This perfume is one of my top choices as it has a mood-lifting fragrance that shifts into a romantic soft rose, providing an allure of maturity with a playful side. Blind-buying perfumes, especially online, can be intimidating as you don’t get the chance to smell the scent before you buy it. While fragrance notes can give you an idea of the scent, they don’t always tell the whole story. I’ve compiled a few tips to help you find the right scent for you, especially if you’re looking for your next signature fragrance:

Find out what notes you like
My top pro tip is to first find out what type of scents you like. You can scour through your current collection to identify top, heart, and base notes you like, or try out samples from different perfume testers until you narrow down your preferences. Start with the perfume notes: fruity, floral, woody or fresh. Each perfume has its notes that give it its unique scent. Experiment with different scents until you find ones that suit your body chemistry!

Study the base, middle, and top notes
Perfumes have base, middle or heart, and top notes that blend to create a unique fragrance. The base notes linger around the longest and can last up to several hours or days, while the middle notes usually stay for about an hour. The top notes are the most volatile as they are the most exposed to air and usually last about 15 minutes – these are the notes you smell the most when spraying perfume. Moreover, they won’t necessarily linger on your skin for long. When picking a perfume, pay attention to the middle and base notes. If these two layers contain notes that you usually enjoy, chances are that this is a perfume you will appreciate!

Pick the right concentration
Most fragrances come in three levels of concentration which determine the strength of the scent and its longevity. For the best women’s perfume that lasts for up to eight hours, go for parfum which boasts the highest concentration. A more affordable and commonly found alternative is eau de parfum (EDP) which will last you a good six hours. Meanwhile, an eau de toilette (EDT) will only last about three to five hours and makes for a good light fragrance for the day.
How to apply perfume?
So you’ve got your favourite notes down, but somehow your perfume just isn’t projecting the way you want it to. You might be applying your perfume incorrectly! Where you apply your perfume and how you apply your perfume can affect its strength and longevity. Besides, wearing your perfume on your pulse points (inside your wrists, inner elbows and behind your ear lobes) is known to help diffuse a scent better as these areas emit extra body heat.
