‘Tis the season of warm, fuzzy and everything nice so it isn’t all a surprise when we included a chocolate-based cocktail in this list. Prep time: 5-7 mins
Servings: 1 cocktail

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 30ml vodka
  • 22ml Kahlua (coffee liqueur)
  • 22ml creme de cacao
  • 15ml heavy whipping cream
  • 22ml Baileys
  • Chocolate syrup
  • Chocolate (for garnish)

Recipe Instructions:

  1. Using a cocktail jigger, pour the vodka and Kahlua (available on Pernod Ricard Official Store) into a pint glass (available on Chong Kitchenwares)
  2. Add the creme de cacao, Baileys and heavy cream (available on FreshPasar) into the mixture
  3. Fill the pint glass with ice
  4. Place the tumbler of a cocktail shaker over the glass, overturn it and shake it for about eight to 10 seconds
  5. Place the cocktail shaker tumbler face down and let the mixture settle. This will allow it to become a little thicker and creamier.
  6. Meanwhile, prepare a martini glass to serve the drink in. You’ll now be decorating the glass with your favourite chocolate syrup
  7. With control, draw rings all the way up the glass. You can transfer the syrup into a squeeze bottle to give you more control — just make sure that you don’t use too much syrup as it might run down the glass instead. Once done, you should see a cool, spherical effect in the glass.
  8. Double strain the cocktail mixture into the martini glass. Use a Hawthorne strainer on top of the tumbler and hold a mesh strainer (available on xiapimart.sg) above the martini glass while pouring the cocktail in.
  9. Add more chocolate syrup on top of the drink. You can draw stripes or any other design.
  10. Using a microplane (available on Sweet Confessions), shave some chocolate bits into the drink and voila, it’s ready to be served!
