I thought I’d outgrow my clubbing phase, and while I did to some extent, I’ve found something even better: music festivals! Upcoming music festivals in Asia (2024)
1. Joyland Festival
While Joyland isn’t quite my style, I can see why it would appeal to ravers with families. Set in the lush fields of Jakarta and the sunny shores of Bali, it combines music and arts in a unique way. You and your crew can enjoy live performances, comedy shows, and even workshops on everything from music production to batik art. And for the kids? They’ve got their own dedicated space for face-painting, storytelling, and just letting loose in a more chilled vibe. Talk about an inclusive music festival experience for everyone!
Date: 22 – 24 November 2024
Location: Senayan, Jakarta
2. Rolling Loud Thailand
Hip-hop lovers—you’re going to be obsessed with Rolling Loud Thailand! Set in the buzzing city of Pattaya, this four-day event looks like an epic experience, especially with the Rolling Loud Caravan just a five-minute stroll from the main stage. This year’s lineup is lit, with artists like Jay Park and Jessi on the roster—seriously, I can’t get enough of Jessi’s fierce energy and boss vibes! And the best part? You could also choose to chill in your caravan with VIP access, soaking in the views and the music from the comfort of your bed. Oh, and did I mention the 24-hour free-flow food and drinks? Now that’s what I call a flex!
Date: 22 – 24 November 2024
Location: Legend Siam, Pattaya City, Thailand
3. Clockenflap
Think Coachella but with an Asian twist — that’s Clockenflap! This 2024 music festival in Southeast Asia brings together an amazing mix of international superstars and local talent. Last year was a blast with bands like Arctic Monkeys and Bombay Bicycle Club. This year’s lineup is still coming together, but a few names are already getting me hyped. Jack White, a 12-time Grammy winner and the lead singer of The White Stripes, is set to perform. And for J-Pop lovers, Sakurazaka46 is bringing their A-game! With such a diverse lineup, Clockenflap is going to be a wild, unforgettable ride.
Date: 29 November – 1 December 2024
Location: Central Harbourfront, Hong Kong
4. 808 Music Festival
If you’ve never experienced 808 Music Festival, prepare for an EDM overload. They’ve been absolutely slaying the festival scene for almost a decade, and this year is shaping up to be no exception. Alongside big names like Mau P, known for his hit “Drugs From Amsterdam,” we’ve got Anyma making his Southeast Asia debut. This will be his first time showcasing his “Genesys” performance in the region, blending powerful, emotional tracks with mind-blowing visuals. When that bass drops, trust me, you’ll feel it deep in your soul.
Date: 6 – 8 December 2024
Location: BITEC Bangna, Bangkok
5. Wonderfruit
I don’t know about you, but I’m someone who loves travelling solo, and if I end up going solo again this year, Wonderfruit would be my top pick. This music festival in Asia is great for meeting new people and making connections. The vibe is so welcoming, and the community is super friendly, making it easy to strike up conversations with fellow festival-goers. Plus, with all the activities and workshops, there are tons of chances to bond over shared interests. I can already picture myself wandering through the art installations, discovering new sounds, and just soaking up the whole energy of the festival. It’s one of those experiences where you end up leaving with not just great memories but a bunch of new friends too!
Date: 12 – 16 December 2024
Location: Siam Country Club, Chonburi, Thailand
6. Djakarta Warehouse Project (DWP)
Last year, I had a memorable time at Djakarta Warehouse Project (DWP) for its 10th anniversary in Bali. It was a whirlwind of excitement, and honestly, I was super tired by the end of it, but every moment was worth it! I still remember losing myself in the crowd, feeling the bass thump through my chest as we all jumped in sync with the beats. This year, DWP is heading back to Jakarta, and I’m so ready for round two. The initial lineup is looking solid with huge names like Armin Van Buuren and Steve Aoki, but I’m excited to see who else gets added to the mix!
Date: 13 – 15 December 2024
Location: Jiexpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, Indonesia
7. HOZO International Music Festival
If you’re a fan of manyao, chances are you’ll also appreciate Vinahouse. If that’s the case, I’d definitely recommend adding the HOZO International Music Festival to your list! This music festival in Asia not only showcases amazing music but also celebrates Vietnamese culture, making it a unique experience. With a lineup of both local talents and international artists, plus a variety of activities like food fairs and art contests, it’s the perfect way to immerse yourself in a vibrant atmosphere while enjoying some great tunes!
Date: 22 – 24 December 2024
Location: Le Loi, Nguyen Hue Street, Vietnam
8. Sunburn Festival
I didn’t make it to Tomorrowland this year, but the Sunburn Festival in Goa is looking like the perfect alternative. Just imagine dancing under the stars with vibrant visuals all around and the waves of the Arabian Sea crashing nearby. Sunburn 2024 is shaping up to be epic, especially with headliners like Skrillex and Peggy Gou—techno and trance fans, you’re in for a treat! This festival promises a wild mix of deep house and heavy bass drops, and I’m sure it’d be a mind-blowing experience!
Date: 28 – 30 December 2024
Location: Goa, India
9. Neon Countdown
I’m thinking about flying out for Neon Countdown this New Year’s Eve. The lineup is still being revealed, but I’m already pumped for artists like Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, who crushed it as #2 on DJ Mag’s 2023 list. With neon paint flying, lights flashing everywhere, and a crowd that’s all about good vibes, this is going to be a wild way to ring in the new year. I can already picture myself dancing my way into 2025!
Date: 30 – 31 December 2024
Location: Wonder World Extreme Park, Bangkok, Thailand
10. Pinkfish Festival
My friends have been eyeing this since we’ve been thinking about vacaying together for the year-end holidays. But flights are crazy expensive, so we’re planning a road trip to Malaysia. And it just so happens that our itinerary coincides with the Pinkfish Festival — just our luck! We also found out that there’s gonna be Showtek and Blasterjaxx in the lineup, so if you missed these two big names at Marquee this year, here’s your chance to catch them live!
Date: 31 December 2024
Location: Surf Beach at Sunway Lagoon, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
11. Yuewen Music Festival
It may seem like ZoukOut isn’t happening this year, but at least we have Yuewen Music Festival! It’s Yuewen Group’s very first music festival in Singapore and they’ve got a wild schedule that spans across 3 days. There are top artists from Thailand, South Korea, China, Japan and even the Netherlands; it’s an extraordinary music festival that’s more than the usual EDM or hardstyle. Think ITZY, Afrojack, LaLa Hsu, WUKONG, DAESUNG and more! But that’s not all — there’ll be a themed entertainment market, and on 31 December, fireworks and drone shows to ensure we all end the year on a high note!
Date: 28, 29, 31 December 2024
Location: Siloso Beach Sentosa, Singapore
12. ZoukOut
If you’d rather skip the hassle of travelling, we’ve got a stellar music festival right here. ZoukOut is Singapore’s longest-running music festival, held yearly at Siloso Beach. Last year, they took things to a whole new level with the first-ever sunrise-to-sundown edition, and let me tell you, it was a phenomenal experience. The fusion of world-class DJs like Martin Garrix and Illenium with mind-blowing visuals created a one-of-a-kind atmosphere for all of us party-goers. Trust me, this is one you do not want to miss!
Psst… be sure to also check out these Zoukout outfit ideas that will help you stand out from the crowd!

Upcoming music festivals in Asia (2025)
13. EDC Thailand
When I heard that EDC is coming to Thailand, I immediately marked my calendar and applied for annual leave. EDC has always been hosted in Europe, so the chance to experience it right here in Asia feels like a major win. Plus, it coincides perfectly with my birthday, making it an even more special occasion to celebrate. And to top it all off, one of my favourite DJs, James Hype, is set to spin there! The thought of dancing to his House music in such a sic setting has me counting down the days!
Date: 17 – 19 January 2025
Location: Boat Avenue Lakefront, Phuket
14. S2O Songkran Music Festival
I sweat way too easily, so when I heard that there’s a water festival to keep me cool all night long, I was instantly sold on the S2O Songkran Music Festival! This celebration combines a massive dance party with the legendary water fights of Songkran, Thailand’s traditional New Year celebration. I can already feel the cool water showering while I dance to the beats of top DJs like Illenium, The Chainsmokers, and Afrojack. Such a perfect way to beat the heat and celebrate in true Thai style!
Date: Mid-April 2025
Location: LIVE PARK on Rama 9, Bangkok, Thailand
15. Siam Songkran
Kill two birds with one stone by attending SIAM Songkran! Held around the same time as S2O, this festival is a powerhouse of dubstep music with a killer lineup of artists like Yellow Claw. But it’s not just about the music—SIAM Songkran takes the traditional Thai New Year’s water fight to another level. Crowds armed with water guns flood the venue, dancing to thumping bass while dodging water blasts. As the sun beats down, that rush of cool water is the perfect chill against the insane beats, and the whole thing feels like a giant, wild, wet rave!
Date: Mid-April 2025
Location: RCA Central Park, Bangkok, Thailand
