We’re not sure about you but we’ve seen some pictures of this innovative 3-in-1 Cleansing Tea Bag Cleanser from Laneige that has been flooding our social media feeds. And we just had to try it!

On first glance, it looks just like any tea bag, just that it’s strangely packed in plastic packages that look almost like the ones that are used to keep facial masks. But, please do not drink it though! These tea bags are actually facial cleansers that also work as exfoliators and facial masks. It is also available in two variants – Green Tea and Peppermint.
The 3-in1 Cleansing Tea Bag Green Tea is perfect for you if you’re looking to moisturise, relieve and soften your skin for a brighter complexion. On the other hand, the Peppermint variant has anti-bacterial and sebum control properties, making it perfect if you’re looking to keep your skin looking fresh and clean. The latter also has pore control properties.
So, how do you use it?
Step 1:
Firstly, remove the string that is connected to the tea bag and splash the tea bag with warm water or cold water, depending on the type bought.
* Note: Green Tea can be used with both cold or warm water. Peppermint is best used with cold water only!
Step 2:
Once it is soaked through, rub the bag with your hand to foam it up.
Step 3:
Lastly, when enough foam is generated, you can use it to cleanse your face as per normal.
Besides using it as a facial cleanser, it can also be used as a gentle exfoliator to remove dead skin cells or as a water pack:
As an exfoliator
Use the soaked tea bag to rub and massage your skin gently to safely exfoliate your skin. Psst, the formula also contains enzyme powder that’s awesome for exfoliation!
As a water pack
After soaking the tea bag in water, you can leave it on the skin for a nice pamper-yourself mask session.
